1、 Film Appreciation of Indecent ProposalThis movie is mainly telling a story about a proposal, an indecent proposal. David and Diana are a couple, and they love each other very much. But they met a financial problem. To solve the problem, David made a mistake-he took Diana to Las Vegas to gamble. At

2、the beginning they won a lot of money , but not enough for their needs. Thus, they went on gambling. But they lost. And they met a man named John Gage, a billionaire there. And he came up with a proposal to offer them $1 million for one night with Diana. They refused it at first. But they accepted i

3、t in the end. However, the money came too late. And they couldnt forget the things that happened in Las Vegas like they thought they could do. Theres more and more conflict between them. And theres distrust between them. Then they separated. After some time, Diana had an affair with John Gage. Diana

4、 decided to divorce with David, and David signed it after a frank talking with her, though he still loves her deeply. But John knows she still loves David, and set her free. Finally, Diana come back to David. They got together again.At the beginning of the movie, David said, “Losing Dianna was like

5、losing a part of me. I thought nothing could change the way we felt about each other. I thought we were invincible.” Most of the time, you dont know how essential some things or people are to you, until losing them. Some lost thing may be recovered, but some may not. Thus, the best thing we can do i

6、s just cherishing what we have right now. And Diana said at the beginning of the movie, “Someone once said if you want something very badlyset it free. If it comes back to you, its yours forever. If it doesnt, it was never yours to begin with. I knew one thing, I was Davids to begin with, and he was

7、 mine.” Some people always hold things tightly when they really wanted them, but they dont know that their behaviour would make those things go faster. If something really belongs to you, it will come to you easily. If it not belongs to you, no matter how much you worked for it, it will leave you. I

8、 think the love between David and Diana is moving and eternal in some degree, especially Dianas love to David.Money is important, especially in the modern society. Sometimes it seems that you cant move a single step without money. Nevertheless, there are still so many things much more important than

9、 money. As someone said that you can buy medicines, but you cannot buy health; you can buy a house, but you cannot buy family; you can buy friends, but you cannot buy friendship; you can buy lovers, but you cannot buy the true love. Money is important for you must live in the world. But if you have

10、nothing except money, whats the meaning of your life? What are you living for? You may live an affluent life, but are you live a happy life? We live, not for the money though we have to work hard to get it. Money is not the purpose of living, but something to make you live better, to achieve our pur

11、pose of living. John bought one night with Diana, and damaged the couples relationship in some degree. Diana even was with him for some time. But in fact, he never gets her true love by money or the man himself, as himself said, “She never would have looked at me the way she did at him.” Can money b

12、uy everything? Of course not. We get the answer from the movie. Dianas true love cant be bought. And Davids love to Diana cant be bought neither. To solve the financial problem, David and Diana made mistakes. They thought they could take the night and all the things for nothing, and they could forge

13、t all the things happened in Las Vegas. But the truth was they couldnt. They still love each other so much, but they were not invincible. David didnt trust Diana like before, he always doubted that Diana had been contact with John. And they began arguing with each other frequently. Then they went to

14、 the end-they separated. David loves Diana like before. He just was not confident with himself, and he was afraid that Diana would fall in love with John. And Diana was disappointed and sad with Davids distrust. She was suffering from the proposal, and couldnt show consideration for David. Fortunate

15、ly, David realized his fault, and told Diana it frankly. As to John, maybe he was not a very good man, but he is not that bad. At least, when he realized the unchangeable thing-that Diana still loves David, he set her free. And during the proposal, he didnt force anyone to do anything. Its all the couples own choice. Everyone must be responsible for his choice. Once you make a choice, you have to face the result from it no matter what it is.The thing that moves me best
