Eppleyexaminedmorethan150,000hoursofdataobsenedon32monkeyspeciesand

15lemurspeciesat68sites.Hetbund(hat(heyspentanaverageofonly2.5%oftheirtime

onthegroundeachmonth.Butthefindingsshowedsomeinterestingdifferences.

“Ashabitatsaredegradedandtheclimateworsens,primatesthatareflexibleenoughto

adaptbecauseoftheirdiversecHctsorliveinlargergroupsmaybemorelikelytoshifttolife

ontheground,nEppleysays."However,otherspeciesthatrelyonfruitdietsorliveinsmall

groupsarelessadaptableandarelesswillingtoleavethetree.Forthesespecies,wewillstill
