1.Consolidaterequirementstocreateasimpler,morestreamlinedexperiencewithoutanegative
impactonstandardintegrity.
2.MeetupdatedGFSIrequirementsforimplementationbeyond2020.
SQFEdition9comeswithseveralenhancementsandimprovementstotheCodestructure,
methodology,andtechnicalrequirements.Fromdietarysupplementstopetfood,several
primaryandmanufacturingindustriesnowhavededicatedCodestoprovideamorespecific
setofrequirementsandriskassessmentforeach.
AllenhancementsmadetotheSQFCodesaretobuildabetteroverallauditexperiencethat
addsevenmorevaluetoSQFcertification.

(GMP)foranimalfeedmanufacturing(module3).

■An"ImplementingSQFSystems”trainingcourseisavailablethroughtheSQFInetworkoflicensed
trainingcenters.Detailsaboutthetrainingcentersandthecountriesinwhichtheyoperateare
availablea.
■Althoughtrainingisrecommended,youcantrainyourselfbydownloadingtheSQFFoodSafety
Code:AnimalFeedManufacturingfromfreeofchargeandapplyingittoyourindustry
sector,site,andprocesses.
■YourmanagementmaychoosetoutilizetheservicesofaregisteredSQFconsultant.AllSQF
consultantsareregisteredbySQFItoworkinspecificfoodsectorcategories(FSCs)andare
issuedwithanidentificationcardindicatingtheFSCsinwhichtheyareregistered.Thecriteria
outliningtherequirementsnecessarytoqualifyasanSQFconsultantandtheapplicationforms
areavailableat.TheSQFConsultantCodeofConductoutlinesthepracticesexpected
ofSQFconsultants.
■GuidancedocumentsareavailableforsomeSQFCodesandFSCsfrom.These
documentscanhelpyouinterprettherequirementsoftheSQFCodesandassistwith
documentingandimplementinganSQFSystem.Thedocumentsaredevelopedwiththe
assistanceoffoodsectortechnicalexperts.Theguidancedocumentsareavailabletoassistyou
butarenotauditabledocuments.Wherethereisadivergencebetweentheguidancedocument
