1.remain的基本意思是“留下”“接着”,即在一段时间内持续地处于某位置或某状态,含有在别人走了的状况下仍旧留下或在别的事物都变更了的状况下照旧保持不变的意味。

2.remain主要用作不及物动词,常与away,behind,in,of,on,out,up等介、副词连用,表示各种附加意义。
