“疑问词+不定式”结构的用法:

(1)该结构的句法功能:

“wh词+不定式”主要用作宾语。

We

must

think

what

to

do.我们必须考虑怎么办。

I

can't

decide

whom

to

invite.我不能决定该邀请谁。

除用作宾语外,还可用作主语、表语等。

When

to

leave

has

not

been

decided.何时离开还没有决定。

The

question

is

how

to

find

him.问题是如何找到他。

(2)

why用于该结构的注意点:

原则上说,why后不接不定式,不过若不定式不带to,则可用why。

Why

there

at

为什么不马上去那儿呢?

Why

argue

her?

为什么要跟她争论呢?

[注意]这类结构通常只用于谈论现在和将来,不用于谈论过去。

你昨天为什么不打扫房间?

how用于该结构的注意点:

有些动词后接“how+不定式”作宾语时,how可以省略:

Did

你学过开车吗?

但是,有些动词后面接“疑问词how+不定式”作宾语时,尽管其中的how在汉语中无需译出,但不能将how省略。

He

(4)“疑问词十不定式”结构可以和复合句转换。

must与have

to

1.must的用法

must是情态动词,意为“必须,一定要”,后接动词原形,可用于肯定句、否定句和疑问

句。Must的否定形式must

not

(mustn’t)语气较为强烈,意为“不许;禁止”。

2.have

to的用法

have

to意为“必须,不得不”,后接动词原形,表示在客观上有必要做某事。使用have

to时应注意以下几点:

(1)

have

to有一般现在(have

to,has

to),一般过去(had

to)和一般将来(will

have

to)等多种时态。

Eg:Sandy

had

to

wait

at

park

yesterday

morning.

(2)

构成一般疑问句时,要在句子开头加do/does,did或will等助动词。

Eg:Will

they

have

to

speak

English

Canada?

(3)

have

to的否定形式don’t/doesn`t/won`t

have

to表示“没有必要”。

Eg:You

answer

the

question.

3.must与have

to的区别

(1)两者都表示“必须”,但must侧重于说话者的主观看法,认为有必要或有义务去做某事;have

to侧重于客观需要,含有“不得不,被迫”之意。

Eg:Everyone

must

belts.

(2)must的否定式must

not

(mustn’t)表示“一定不要,不允许”;而have

to的否定式don’t/doesn’t

have

to(

=needn’t)表示“不必”。

must没有人称、数和时态的变化;而have
