However,thingsgetinterestingwhenbrain-traininggamesarecomparedwithvideogames.Ina2015study

comparingthebrain-traininggameSmartPwiththevideogameMazix,researchersfoundSmartPplayersdidn'tshow

Morerecently,in2020,researchersinSwedenstudieddatafromsome9,000childrenandfoundthatkidsaged

9or10whoplayedvideogamesforabove-averageamountsoftimedidn'tshowanydifferencesinintelligence

comparedwiththoseplayingless.Twoyearslater,theydiscoveredthatby12,thekidsplayingvideogameshad2.5

moreIQpointsthanaverage.

Whyvideogamesresultinimprovementsincognitiveabilitiesovermoretargetedgamesisn'tclear.One
