Dawson,however,therewardswereworththedifficulttrip.Ofthefirst20,000peoplewhodugfor
gold,4,000gotrich.About100ofthesestayedrichmenfortherestoftheirlives.
Butnomatterhowrichtheywere,Dawsonwasnevercomfortable.Necessitieslikefoodand
woodwereveryexpensive.Butsoon,thegoldthatDawsondependedonhadallbeenfound.The
citywascrowdedwithdisappointedpeoplewithnointerestinsettlingdown,andwhentheyheard

ThestyleofthecampusisquitedifferentfromthatofmostChineseuniversities.Manyvisitors
wereamazedbythecomplexarchitecturalspaceandabundantbuildingtypes.Thecurves(曲线)of
thebuildingsperfectlymatchtheriseandfallofhills,ibrmingauniqueview.
