Butduringtesting,Wessonnoticedthateverytimeheputhiscoffeecupdown,themousecells
jumpedinactivity.Infact,theolfactorytubercleiswell-placedtoreceivebothsmellandsound
informationfromtheoutsideworld.
Latertheyfoundthatamongseparatecells,mostrespondedtoasmellbutasignificantnumber
