IEC62255-2:2005EN-FRMulticoreandsymmetricalpair/quadcablesforbroadbanddigitalcommunications(highbitratedigitalaccesstelecommunicationnetworks)-Outsideplantcables-Part2:Unfilledcablesisaninternationalstandardthatspecifiesthetechnicalrequirementsformulticoreandsymmetricalpair/quadcablesusedinbroadbanddigitalcommunications.Thesecablesareusedinhighbitratedigitalaccesstelecommunicationnetworks,andaretypicallyusedinoutsideplantapplications.Thestandardspecifiesthetypesofcablesthatcanbeused,thetypesofconnectorsandsplicesthatcanbeused,thedimensionsandtolerancesofthecables,thematerialsusedinthecables,andotheraspectsofthecables.
