了京剧版本的《哈姆雷特》。

追溯到18世纪，京剧有两百多年的历史了。这是否意味着它比莎士比亚的戏

剧更容易看懂呢？为了找到答案，我只好去观看《王子复仇记》——京剧版的《哈

姆雷特》。

从一个演奏中国传统乐器的管弦乐队开始，这出戏剧便给我这个西方人的耳

朵带来了一种全新的声音。起初，我以为我听到的是小提琴的声音，但后来我才

知道这是一种有两根弦的乐器，叫作京胡。然后，看到主角出现在舞台上，我感

到很惊讶！他们的服装和脸谱都令人惊叹。表演者们当然用中文演唱，但音乐、

夸张的动作和手势的表演都有助于把意思传达给观众。表演者们的声音本身听起

来很独特——有些女声非常高，以至于我确信它们可以震破玻璃！舞台非常简单：

一条鞭子代表一匹马，一面有汉字的屏风代表一个书房。运用这样的手法，京剧

把一个小舞台变成了整个宇宙。

在观看《王子复仇记》之前，我不肯定自己是否会喜欢它。但事实上，我感

到兴奋不已。感受到表演中的爱、愤怒、恐惧和悲伤的强烈情绪，我很容易就体
