footprint.Theprimaryfootprintisameasureofourdirectemissions(去[JE放)ofcarbon

dioxide(CO2)fromtheburningoffuels,includinghouseholdenergyconsumption

andtransportation.ThesecondaryfootprintisameasureoftheindirectCO2emissions

fromthewholelifecycleofproductsweuse一thoserelatedtotheirproductionand

breakdown.

Basedonthisunderstanding,wehaveagooddealofcontrolandresponsibilityover

ourcarbonfootprint.Thingslikedishes,clothesandfurniturefallintothe“'secondary

footprint'1group,solessismoreandwecanfocusonfindingusedgoodstoavoidthe

addedproduction.However,forthecarandtheotherappliances(设备)thatweneedwe

cangowithnew,energy-savingmodels.Iheardsomewherethatelectronicsand

appliancesgiveoff90%oftheircarbonfootprintaftertheyleavethefactory.Soitseems
