Introducetheconceptofeffectivelanguagelearningstrategiesandprovideexamples.Explainthatlanguagelearningisnotjustaboutmemorizingvocabularyandgrammarrulesbutalsoaboutdevelopingstrategiestomakelearningeasierandmoreeffective.

Languagelearningtips:

Distributehandoutsoflanguagelearningtipsandaskstudentstoreadthemindividually.Instructstudentstohighlightorcirclethetipsthattheyfindmostusefulorinteresting.

Groupdiscussion:

Dividetheclassintosmallgroupsandaskeachgrouptosharetheirhighlightedtipswitheachother.Encouragestudentstodiscusswhytheyfoundcertaintipstobeeffectiveandhowtheycanapplythesetipstotheirownlanguagelearning.
