Grammarfocus语法1.LastweekIwenttothetheatre.上个星期我去看戏。gotothetheatre.去看戏,在这里强调的是活动,而不是地点;常见的表达还有:gotothecinema.去看电影。而在一些特定的地点前,不加the则强调的是活动;若加the,则表示去到某个特指的地方。如:gotochurch.去做礼拜gotothechurch.

去那个教堂gotoschool.去上学gototheschool.去那所学校2.Theplaywasveryinteresting.戏很有意思。interesting是一个由词跟interest加ing转化而来的形容词,带有主动意义,表示某件事物本身很有意思,很有趣;而由词根加ed转化而来的形容词,通常带有被动意义,如interested表示我们对某件事物感到有意思,感兴趣。如:Sheisnotinterestedinthisbook.她对这本书不敢兴趣。Thebookisnotinterestingatall.这本书一点意思都没有。类似的表达还有:exciting,

excited;

boring,

bored.如:Thenewsisexciting.这消息太激动人心了。I

feelveryexcitedaboutthenews.我对这个消息感到很兴奋。ThisTVshowisboring.这个电视节目很无聊。IfeelboredabouttheTVshow.我觉得这个电视节目很无聊。3.Theyweretalkingloudly.他们正在大声的说着话。这是一个过去进行时的句子。表示过去某时正在进行的动作,其结构为:主语+was/weredoing+其它。如本课中的句子:Ayoungmananda

youngwomanweresittingbehindme.一青年男子和一青年女子正坐在我的身后。副词loudly修饰动词talking,副词修饰动词,要放在动词的后面。如本课中的句子:Ilookedatthemanandwomanangrily.我怒视着这一男一女。Isaidangrily.我生气地说。Theyoungmansaidrudely.那个男的毫不客气地说。4.Igotveryangry.我非常生气。这里的get是逐渐变得的意思,相当于become。如果用Iwasveryangry.则表示作者很生气,并不能暗示他受到干扰后心情变化的过程。5.Icouldnotheartheactors.我听不见演员在说什么。hear动词,表示听到。如:Ican'thearyou.我听不见你讲话。与hear相关的词组有:hearfromsb.收到某人的来信。如:Iknowyou'resurprisedtohearfromme.我知道收到我的来信,你一定会很惊讶。hearofsb.听说过某人。如:Ioftenhearofhim,butI'veneverseenhim.我常听说他,可从没见过面。hearaboutsth.听说某个消息。如:I'mdeeplysorrytohearaboutthenews.听到消息我深感悲痛。6.Iturnedround.我回过头去。turn可作动词,表示转动。如:turnleft向左转;turnright向右转。turn也可作名词,表示(依次轮到的)机会。如:It'syourturntotellastory.

轮到你讲一个故事了。7.Intheend,Icouldnotbearit.最后,我忍不住了。intheend表示最后,相当于是Finally,Atlast.bear作名词表示熊,作动词表示忍受;stand作动词时,可以表示站立,也可以表示忍受,所以:Icouldnotbearit.=Icouldnotstandit.我受不了了。8.It'snoneofyourbusiness.不关你的事。business作名词可以表示生意,也可以表示事物。如:It'sapleasuretodobusinesswithyou.和你做生意是一件快乐的事情。Mindyourownbusiness.管好你自己的事情。Exercises练习一.Answerthesequestions.1.Wheredidthewritergolastweek?
