3.sofar意思是到目前为止。

5.sincethen此后,其结果影响到现在,句子用现在完成时。

already,ever,yet,still
1.already通常用于肯定句中,表示“已经”,它一般不用在否定句中。
already在疑问句中有表示惊奇等感情的功能,但它通常被用来表示因事情
进展迅速而吃惊,而still则表示因事情进展缓慢而吃惊。

eg▲Theteaisalreadycold.茶已经凉了。
2.ever表示到现在为止的任何时候,相当于曾经,多用于疑问句和表示最高级
的从句中。
eg▲HaveyoueverbeentoAmerica?你曾去过美国吗?
3.yet用来谈论事情是否已经发生,多用于疑问句和否定句,用于疑问句,意
为“已经”;
用于否定句,则指“尚;还”。
eg▲Shehasn'tcomehereyet.她还没有来到这儿。
▲Haveyoufoundyourruleryet?你找到你的尺子了吗?
▲Pleasedon'ttaketoday'snewspaperaway.Ihaven'treadityet.
请别把今天的报纸拿走,我还没有看呢。
4.still说明某种情况和过去一样地继续着,表示“仍然”“仍旧”的意思,
可以用于肯定句,疑问句与否定句中。如用在否定句中,必须放在否定词not
之前。
yet一般放在主要动词之前或句末。

现在是秋天,但是中午天气仍很热。

still&yet
still与yet作副词,表示“仍然;还”。
1.still多用于肯定句中,放在动词前或后,表示动作或状态的持续,
常与一般时态或进行时态连用,作“仍然”解。
eg▲Heisstillworking.他还在工作。(肯定句)
2.yet多用于否定句中,常与一般时态或完成时态连用。
eg▲Hehasn'tfinishedhisworkyet.他还未完成工作。(否定句)
still和yet用于疑问句中时,still表示惊讶或出乎意料,yet常表示期待、
盼望和预料中的事。
eg▲Ishestillhere?=Hasn/thegoneyet?他还在这儿吗?
▲Ishehereyet?=Hashecomeyet?他早来了吗?
still和yet都可修饰形容词和副词的比较级,表示程度,加强语气;
但still可放在比较级前或后,yet只能放在比较级前。
eg▲TomsingswellbutJinisingsstillbetter.
汤姆唱得好,但吉姆唱得更好。
▲Themanagerhasyetmoreimportantthingstodo.
经理还有更重要的事要做。
▲Youmustworkstill(yet)harder(=harderstill).你必须更加努力地
工作。
注意:
①yet除了用于否定句之外,还常用于疑问句,意为“已经”。肯定句中使用
already,
②yet一般用于句末.eg▲Hashearrivedyet?他到了没有?
ever&once两者都可表示“曾经”的意思,但有区别:
1.ever意思是“曾经”,是副词,多用于疑问句、否定句,条件句中,以加强
语气,可用于一般现在时、现在完成时、过去时和将来时。
eg▲Ihardlyeverseehernowadays.我近来很少见到她。
2.once意思是“曾经;一度”,是不确定的时间副词,其位置一般放在行为动
词前,系动词之后,多用在过去时的陈述句子里,若表示经历,也可用在现在完
成时的句子里。
eg▲Thesongswereonceverypopular.这些歌曲曾经很流行。
▲IhaveoncebeentotheGreatWal1.我曾经去过长城。
not...anymore/nomore/not...anylonger/nolonger
nolonger(not...anylonger)&nomore(not...anymore)
nolonger(not...anylonger)&nomore(not…anymore)都有"不再"之意,
但用法有区别:
1.nolonger(not...anylonger)主要用来表示时间或距离的不再,意在对现在
的情况加以比较,指与过去比“不再”,多用于现在时,在句中位于行为动词前
面,be动词的后面。多与延续性动词连用,表示某个动作或状态不再延续下去。
eg▲Youarenolongerachild.=Youaren'tachiIdanylonger.
你已不再是个孩子了。
▲Henolonger1iveshere.=Hedoesn'tlivehereanylonger.
他不再住这里了。
2.nomore(not...anymore)主要用来表示数量或程度,有"次数多少”的含义;
多与瞬间动词连用,指某动作不再重复发生;它所表达的是“neveragain”或
“没有更多”的含义;今后“不再”,常用将来时、过去时。
eg▲Heisnotpolite;11gotherenomore.
他没有礼貌,我再也不会去那儿了。
▲Idonoteatsweetsnacksbetweenmealsanymore.
我不再在正餐之间吃甜食了。
▲Heisnomoreastudent.=Heisnotastudentanymore.
他不再是学生了。
注意:
(1)同时表示时间兼次数的不再时,两者通用。not...anymore的意思是“不再”,
我们还可以说not…anylonger或者nolonger.
eg▲Afterthat,wedon'ttalkinclassanymore.
=Afterthat,wedon'ttalkinclassanylonger.
=Afterthat,wenolongertalkinclass.
从那以后,我们不再在课上讲话了。
⑵notanymore/longer中的anymore/longer用在句尾,nomore,nolonger
用在句中。

你已不再是个孩子了。

他不再是学生了。
havegoneto/havebeento/havebeenin
1.have/hasgone(to)
have/hasgone(to)的含义是“表示某人已经去了某处”,现在人可能
在途中,或已在那儿了,
着重指人不在说话人这儿。
eg▲HehasgonetoEnglandwithhisfamily.
他和他家人到英国去了。
2.have/hasbeen(to)
have/hasbeen(to)的含义是“某人曾去过某地,现在已不在那儿”。
eg▲IhavebeentoShanghaimanytimes.
我到过上海好多次。
3.have/hasbeenin
have/hasbeenin表示“某人已在某地....”。
eg▲TheyhavebeeninChinaforfiveyears.
他们在中国已有五年了。
总结
①havebeento+地点名词/havebeen+地点副词(前无介词),意为“去
过”。
常与ever,never,before,twice等词连用。
②havegoneto+地点名词,havegone+地点副词(前无介词),意为“去
了”。
-ed形容词与-ing形容词的区别
-ed形容词与-ing形容词的区别
-ed形容词与-ing形容词都可以作表语或定语,但是-ed形容词指人对某
物感到……,强调人的心理感受,一般与人连用;而-ing形容词指某物使人感
到……,强调事物本身的性质,即“令人感到……”。一般与物连用。
这类形容词有excited/exciting;interested/interesting;
worried/worrying;surprised/surprising;bored/boring;
exhausted/exhausting;relaxed/relaxing;moved/moving;
terrified/terrifying;amazed/amazing等等。
stop/stoptodo/stopdoing/stop...fromdoing
1.stopdoingsth.&stoptodosth.
(1)stopdoingsth.意为“停止(正在做的事情)",doing在句中是stop
的宾语。
eg▲Whentheteachercamein,thestudentsstoppedtalking
andlaughing.
老师走了进来,学生们停止了谈笑。
(2)stoptodosth.意为"停下(正在做的事)去做某事",todosth.
在句中是目的状语。
eg▲MotheraskedTomtostopplayingtodohishomework.
妈妈让汤姆别玩了,去做功课。
2.stopsb.(sth.)fromdoingsth.阻止...做某事(from常可省略)
类似结构:keepsb.fromdoingsth.,from此处不可省。

如果我们要这样做,什么能阻止我们这样做呢?
ItIsfuntodosth.,havefunwith(in)
1.Itisfuntodosth.该句型意为“做...有趣”。此句型中的fun
是名词,具有形容词性质,

1.besureof(doing)sth.表示主语对某事有把握。

他自信能成功的。
2.besuretodosth.
(1)表示说话者对主语的估计,意为“一定会……”。
eg▲Heissuretosucceed.
他一定会成功的
(2)用于祈使句表示务必做某事,一定要做某事。
eg▲Besuretocometoseeme.
务必来看我。
3.besure+that从句,表示主语确信有某事,意为“肯定,确定”。
eg▲Heissurethathewillsucceed.
他确信他能成功。
▲Iamsureitwillrain.
我能肯定天要下雨了。
marry/getmarried/bemarried
marry/getmarried/bemarried
marry,getmarried和bemarried都可以表示“结婚”的意思,其用法
不同。
1.marry用作及物动词,表示“嫁给,娶,与……结婚”的意思。
在表示“与...结婚”时,应用marrysb.,marry也可用作不及物动
词。
eg▲Mysistermarriedthemanshewasengagedto.
我姐姐嫁给了和她早已订婚的那个人。
▲Hewasmarriedtoafriendofmine.
他和我的一个朋友结了婚。
▲Hisbrothermarriedlate.
他的哥哥结婚很晚。
2.marry是终止性动词,表示结婚“多长时间”要用bemarried。
eg▲ShemarriedRoberttwoyearsago.
=ShehasbeenmarriedtoRobertfortwoyears.

=TwoyearshavepassedsinceshemarriedRobert.
注意
问某人“婚否”应说Areyoumarried?或Ishemarried?等。
若“未婚,可答I,msingle;问何时结婚的应说Whenwereyoumarried?

borrow/lend/keep
borrow,lend&keep
三者都有“借”之意,但用法不同:
1.borrow表示“借进;借入”,常用borrowsth.fromsb.句型。
eg▲I'mgoingtoborrowsomebooksfromthe1ibrary.
我打算从图书馆借一些书。
2.lend表示“借出”,表示把某物借给某人,常用lendsth.tosb.
或lendsb.sth.句型。
eg▲Canyoulendyourrulertome?
=Canyoulendmeyourruler?
能把你的尺子借给我用一下吗?
3.keep本意为“保存;保留”,引申为“借用”,用于表示借用的时间
长度,
是延续性动词,可以和表示一段的时间状语连用。
eg▲HowlongmayIkeepthepicture-book?
这本画书我可以借用多久?
注意:
borrow和lend这两个动词都是非延续动词,不能和表示一段时间的状语
连用,
若表示“借某物已多久了"常用keep来表示。
如:
这本书我已借了三天了。

die/dead/dying/death
1.die,dead
(1)die是动词,表“动作",bedead表“状态”。
eg▲一Ishisfather1iving?
一他父亲活着吗?

一不,他去世了。他去年去世的。
(2)die是终止性动词,不可与表示延续时间的带for的短语连用,而be
dead短语则可。
请翻译:
“他死了三年了。”

Hewasdiedthreeyearsago.(x)

(3)die强调的是“死”的动作,是个短暂性动词,强调“死”的瞬间动
作,不能和时间段连用。
dead强调的是“死”的状态,意为“死的、无生命的”,是形容词,
作表语或定语。
如果表“死了多长时间”,则用“havebeendead+for+时间段”或
“died+时间段+ago”。

他遇难身亡了。

这些花枯死了。

2.dying
dying是die的现在分词,也可用作形容词,表示“垂死”、“要死”
的意思,常用作定语或表语。

他担心他要死了。
▲Thedoctortriedtosavethedyingboy.
医生努力抢救这个垂危的孩子。
3.death
death是die的名词形式。
eg▲Drinkingwasthedeathofhim.
他因饮酒而死。
▲Threeyearshavepassedsincehisdeath.
他已经死了三年了。

表示"花费"的动词(spend/cost/pay/take/afford)及其搭配
1.spend的主语必须是人,常用于以下结构:
(1)sb.spendtime/moneyonsth.在...上花费时间(金钱)

这道数学题花了我两个小时。
(2)sb.spendtime/money(in)doingsth.花费时间(金钱)做某事

2.cost的主语是物或某种活动,还可以表示“值”,常见用法如下:
(1)sth.cost(sb.)+金钱某物花了(某人)多少钱

买一台新电脑要花一大笔钱。
(2)(doing)sth.cost(sb.)+时间某物(做某事)花了(某人)多少时间

3.take后面常跟双宾语,表示花费时间、金钱等;常见用法有以下几种:
(1)Ittakessb.+时间+todosth.做某事花了某人多少时间

他们用了三年时间修完了这条路。
(2)doingsth.takessb.+时间做某事花了某人多少时间

其中it是形式主语,真正主语是后面的动词不定式。
若对本句型结构中的sometime提问,使用howlong.

4.pay的基本用法是:

其后可接名词或代词作宾语,也可接动词不定式,表示“承担得起”。

turnon/turnoff/turnup/turndown/switchon/off
turnon,turnoff,turnup和turndown都和“开、关(电器)”有关。
但用法有别。
turn与副词on,off,up,down,in连用:
1.turnon意为“(把水源、煤气、电源等)打开"其反义词组为turnoff。
eg▲Turnonthelight,please.
请打开灯。
▲Pleaseturnofftheradio.
请把收音机关上。
2.turndown意为"(把收音机的音量、灯等)关小、调低”,其反义词
组为turnup。

她坐下来,把收音机开大。
3.switchon/off=turnon/off

这几个词都与“睡觉”有关,但用法和含义不同:
1.asleep是形容词,只作表语,是表示“睡着的”状态。

我回来时,我弟弟已熟睡了。
2.sleep是动词,指“睡、睡觉”的全过程,用进行时态表示“正在睡
觉”。也可作名词。

他只睡了一会儿。
3.sleepy是形容词,意思是“困的”,可用作表语或定语。

(起床)相对应。

四者都有“带;拿”之意,但要注意带的方向。
1.bring指从别处把某人或某物带到或拿到说话者所在的地点。
2.take与bring相反,指从说话者所在地把某人或某物带去或拿走。

4.get作"拿"时与fetch意思相同,但get比fetch常用,较口语化,
而且意思较广。

bring取来,bring…with随身带来
take拿走,take...with随身带着(带走)
②get,“去拿”,表示有目标地到别处去把某人、某物“找来、拿来、

1.atthebeginning可以指时间,也可以指位置,常与of短语连用。
指时间时(着重一点),意为“在……之初”;指位置时意为“在……
开头”。

这件事发生在年初。

这个词不能用于句子的开头。
2.inthebeginning一般指时间。作“起初”解时,相当于atfirst,
一般不与of短语连用。
作“在初期”解时,相当于atthebeginning,可与of短语连用。

起初她对游泳不感兴趣,可现在却成为一名游泳好手。

beableto&can
1.can在表示“一般的能力”时,可以与beableto互换,意思相近。
eg▲Hecan/isabletotellthedifferencebetweenthem.
他能分清它们间的区别。
2.can只有一般时和过去时(could);
而beableto可有更多的时态形式,此外它还可以用于不定式或动名
词短语中。
eg▲Willyoubeabletocometonight?
你今晚能来吗?
▲I'd1iketobeabletostayhere.
我想要呆在这儿。
3.在表达过去某种具体的能力,即在某种场合做某事的能力时要用
was/wereableto,
而不用could0
eg▲Atlasthewasabletoswimacrosstheriver.
最后他终于游过了河。
