China'sBcidouNavigationSatelliteSystem(BDS北斗卫星导航系统).Sofar,59satellites,
includingthefirstfourtestones,havebeenlaunchedfromXichang.Withthedevelopmentof
China,wehavealreadyownedthreeotherfamoussatellitlelaunchcenters—Jiuquan,Taiyuanand
Wenchang.
Afteraperiodoftestsinspace,thisnewsatellitehasstartedtoworkwithotherBeidou
satellitestogether.Itisdesignedtoworkforatleast12years.Sofar,Chinahascompletedthe
third-generationnetworkofChina'sBDS.Itwasanewmilestone(里程碑)inthenation'sspace
researchwork.Thelaunchshowedourcountryhascompletedourlargestspace-basedsystem.It's
oneoffourglobal(全球的)navigationnetworks,includingtheUnitedStates'GPS,Russia's
GLONASSandtheEuropeanUnion'sGalileo.
