Coordinationistypicallyrealizedbycoordinatorswhichjoinunitsatthesamelevel,whereassubordination,realizedbysubordinators.Amajordifferencebetweencoordinationandsubordinationisthattheinformationinasubordinateclauseisoftenplacedinthebackgroundwithrespecttothesuperordiateclause.Thusthesyntacticinequalityofsubordinationtendstobringwithitasemanticinequalitywhichisrealizedbysyntactichierarchization,aswellasbyposition.
