Introduction(Approximately5minutes):
Purpose:
-Toengagestudentsandstimulatetheirinterestinthetopicofsuccess.
-Tointroducethethemeofthelessoninanengagingandrelatablemanner.
-Toencouragestudentstothinkcriticallyaboutsuccessthroughthefamousquote.
Intheintroduction,Iwillpresentafamousquote:"Successisnotfinal,failureisnotfatal:Itisthecouragetocontinuethatcounts"byWinstonChurchill.Thepurposeistograbstudents'attentionandprovoketheirthoughtsonsuccess.Bydiscussingthequote,studentswillstartthinkingaboutwhatsuccessmeansandwhycourageisimportantinachievingit.Thissetsthestageforthelesson'sexplorationofsuccessandoutstandingindividuals.
ClassroomInteraction(Approximately35minutes):
Purpose:
-Tofosterdiscussionandcollaborationamongstudents.
