我们过去在同一个车间工作。beusedtodoingsth.是习语，意思是“习惯于做某事”，used可用quite修饰。如果强调由不习惯到习惯这一过程，常用get或become代替be。e.g.Perhapsheisusedtotakinghistime.或许不慌不忙早已成了他的习惯。

他已经习惯熬夜了。beusedtodosth.为use的被动结构，意思是“被用来做……”。e.g.Woodcanbeusedtomakechairsanddesks.

木头可以（被）用来做桌椅。(2)eversince意为“从……开始”，可以引导时间状语从句，主句常用现在完成时，并且主句的谓语动词要用延续性动词，从句用一般过去时。

e.g.EversinceheleftforCanadalastyear,Ihaven’tseenhimagain.

自从他去年去了加拿大以来，我没再见到过他。eversince也可放在句末，意为“此后（就一直……）”。e.g.TheoldmanwenttoBeijingin1949andhaslivedthereeversince.

consider意为“考虑”。【基本用法】(1)considersth.表示“考虑某事”。e.g.Iwillconsideryourplancarefully.我会仔细考虑你的计划。(2)considerdoingsth.表示“考虑做某事”。e.g.Haveyouconsideredbuyingacar?

你考虑买一辆车吗？(3)跟从句。e.g.Theteacherconsideredhowsheshouldanswer.这个老师考虑她要怎么回答。(4)跟“疑问词+动词不定式”结构。

。pretty作形容词是，可意为“漂亮的；可爱的”，多形容小孩子、女子等漂亮可爱。pretty还可意为“美观的；赏心悦目的”，形容某地方或某事物美观、漂亮。

cooldown/off的意思是“（使）平静下来；（使）冷却”。e.g.Herexcitementhascooleddown/off.她激动的心情平静下来了。

Ashowercancoolusdown/off.

淋浴可以使我们感到凉爽些。6.Ifyes,godirectlytoherandsaysorry.如果是这样（伤害了你的朋友），就直接去向她道歉。

ifyes意思是“如果是（肯定前面的情况）”。e.g.Ifyes,givethenameandaddress.
