ThisstorytakesplaceinDecember20**,thefamilywasonvacation.Butunfortunately,accordingtoMayanprophecy,20**December21,istheendoftheworld,butalsotothedaytheMayancalendardate,none*tpageanymore.Sohowtostopallhumanbeingstobedestroyedisthemainideathroughthefilm.JackJackson(JohnCusackplayed)totheYellowstoneNationalParkvacationwithchildren,butfoundthelakehadbeendriedupfondmemories,whiletheareahasalsobecomearestrictedarea.HeisfullofdoubtsstolencampnearYellowstonechancetoknowCharlie.CharlietoldhimthatduetothenaturalenvironmentandresourcesbyhumansandpredatorydestructionofthebalanceoftheEarthsystemhasitsowncollapse,humanitywillsoonfaceanunprecedentednaturaldisaster.CharliesaidthatsomecountrieshavedevelopedandbuiltintheUnitedsecretscanescapethedisasteroftheark.Jacksonthoughthewascrazytolaughitoffandwalkedaway.Buttohissurprise,thedisasterhappenedthene*tday!
