WhentheignitionSWisturnedon,thecurrentflowingthroughtheGAUGEfuseflowstoTERMINAL12ofthedaytime

runninglightrelay.

1.DaytimeRunningLightOperation

Whentheengineisstarted,voltagegeneratedatTERMINALLofthegeneratorisappliedtoTERMINAL8ofthedaytime

runninglightrelay.Iftheparkingbrakeleverispulledup(ParkingbrakeSWon)atthistime,therelayisnotactivatedsothe

daytimerunninglightsystemdoesnotoperate.Iftheparkingbrakeleveristhenreleased(ParkingbrakeSWoff),asignalis

inputtoTERMINAL11oftherelay.

ThisactivatesthedaytimerunninglightrelayandtheHEADrelayisturnedtoon,sothecurrentflowsfromtheHEADMAIN

fusetotheHEADrelay(Pointside)toHEADLHLWR,HEADRHLWRfusestoTERMINAL2oftheheadlightstoTERMINAL

1toTERMINAL1ofthedaytimerunninglightrelaytoTERMINAL2toGROUND,causingtheheadlightstolightup

(Headlightslightupdimmerthannormalbrightness.).Oncethedaytimerunninglightsystemoperatesandtheheadlights

lightup,theheadlightsremainoneveniftheparkingbrakeleverispulledup(ParkingbrakeSWon).

IftheenginestallsandtheignitionSWremainson,theheadlightsremainlightupeventhroughcurrentisnolongeroutput

fromTERMINALLofthegenerator.IftheignitionSWisthenturnedoff,theheadlightsgooff.

Iftheengineisstartedwiththeparkingbrakeleverreleased(ParkingbrakeSWoff),thedaytimerunninglightsystem

operatesandheadlightslightupwhentheenginestarts.

2.HeadlightOperation

WhenthelightcontrolSWisswitchedtoHeadpositionandthedimmerSWissettoLowposition,causingthedaytime

runninglightrelayandtheHEADrelaytoturnon,sothecurrentflowsfromtheHEADMAINfusetoHEADrelay(Coilside)to

TERMINAL6ofthedaytimerunninglightrelaytoTERMINAL7toTERMINAL12ofthelightcontrolSWtoTERMINAL11to

GROUND.ThecurrenttoHEADrelay(Pointside)thenflowstoHEADLHLWR,HEADRHLWRfusestoTERMINAL2ofthe

headlights(Low)toTERMINAL1toTERMINAL1ofthedaytimerunninglightrelaytoTERMINAL2toGROUND,causing

theheadlightstolightupatnormalintensity.

WhenthelightcontrolSWisswitchedtoHeadpositionandthedimmerSWissettoHighposition,thesignalfromthe

dimmerSWisinputtothedaytimerunninglightrelay.ThisactivatesthedaytimerunninglightrelayandtheHEADrelayis

turnedon,sothecurrentflowsfromtheHEADMAINfusetoHEADrelay(Pointside)toTERMINAL1oftheDIMMERrelayto

TERMINAL2toTERMINAL13ofthedaytimerunninglightrelay,activatingtheDIMMERrelay.Thiscausescurrenttoflow

fromTERMINAL3oftheDIMMERrelaytoTERMINAL5toHEADLHUPR,HEADRH–UPRfusestoTERMINAL2ofthe

headlights(High)toTERMINAL1toGROUND,causingtheheadlightstolightupathighbeamandthehighbeamindicator

lighttolightup.

WhenthedimmerSWisswitchedtoFlashposition,thesignalfromthedimmerSWisinputtothedaytimerunninglightrelay.

ThisactivatesthedaytimerunninglightrelayandtheHEADrelayisturnedon,sothecurrentflowsfromtheHEADMAIN

fusetoHEADrelay(Pointside)toTERMINAL1oftheDIMMERrelaytoTERMINAL2toTERMINAL13ofthedaytime

runninglightrelay,activatingtheDIMMERrelay,andalsoflowsfromtheHEADLHUPR,HEADRHUPRfusesto

TERMINAL2oftheheadlightstoTERMINAL1toGROUND,causingtheheadlightstolightupathighbeamandthehigh

beamindicatorlighttolightup.

3.AutomaticLightControlOperation(USA)

WhenthedaytimerunninglightisoperatingandtheAutomaticcontrolsensordetectsadecreaseintheambientlight,the

automaticlightcontroloperationstarts.Atthesametime,daytimerunninglightrelayisactivated,socurrentflowsfromthe

TAILfusetotheTAILrelay(Coilside)toTERMINAL14ofthedaytimerunninglightrelay,andtheHEADMAINfusetothe

HEADrelay(Coilside)toTERMINAL6ofthedaytimerunninglightrelay,activatingboththeTAILrelayandtheHEADrelay,

sothatthetaillightsandheadlightslightup.

Whentheautomaticlightcontrolsensordetectsanincreaseintheambientlight,theignitionSWisturnedtooff,thelight

controlSWisturnedtoHeadposition,andtheautomaticlightcontroloperationstops.
