Youaregoingtocarryouttwoexperiments.

Experiment1

Useameasuringcylindertopour20cm3ofsolutionGintothepolystyrenecupprovided.Putthecupintoa250cm3beakerforsupport.Measuretheinitialtemperatureofthesolutionandrecorditinthetablebelow.

Filltheburettewiththeaqueoussodiumhydroxideprovidedtothe0.0cm3mark.

Add5.0cm3ofaqueoussodiumhydroxidetothesolutionofGinthecupandstirthemixture.

Measureandrecordthe umtemperatureofthesolutioninthetablebelow.Addafurther5.0cm3ofaqueoussodiumhydroxidetothecupandstirthemixture.Measureandrecordtheumtemperatureofthemixtureinthetablebelow.

Continuetoadd5.0cm3portionsofaqueoussodiumhydroxidetothecup,untilatotalvolumeof40cm3ofaqueoussodiumhydroxidehasbeenadded.Stiraftereachadditionandmeasureandrecordthe umtemperaturesinthetable.
