“Takeoutapieceofpaper,”theteachercontinued,whenpointingatwordsontheblackboard.“Writeforthenextthirtyminutesonthistopic.”Lilybeganwritingcrazilyasideaafterideafoughtforrecognitioninherhead.Thefinalresultwasashortstoryaboutabeautifulbeachhouse.Asshewrote,shecouldsmellthesaltyair,hearthecrashingwavesandfeelthepullofthesandbeneathherfeet.Forjustamoment,sheforgotwhereshewas.Shewaslostinthestory.
