ProfessorGloorsaid:"Manyregionsinthetropicsareheatingupparticularlyrapidlyandalargenumberofareas

willbecomewarmer,onaverage,thanapproximately25℃.Ourfindingssuggestthatfortreesintheseregions,

theirlifespansarelikelytobenegativelyaffected.”

twiceasfastasthoseincoolerregionsoftheworld.Buttheyalsohaveashorteraveragelifespanof186years,

comparedto322yearsfortreesinotherclimates.Ouranalysissuggeststhatthelifespansinthetropicswilllikely

decreasefurtherstill.,,

“Iftropicaltreesdieearlier,thiswillaffecthowmuchcarbontheseforestscanhold,raisingconcernsaboutthe
