-Visualaids:maps,brochures,andpicturesoffamoustouristdestinations

Activities:

Day1

Objective:Tointroducethetopicoftravelingandtourismanddevelopstudents’listeningandreadingskills.

1.Warm-up:Askstudentsiftheyhavetraveledtoanyothercountriesoriftheyhaveanytravelplans.Discussthebenefitsoftravelingandthereasonswhypeoplechoosetotravel.

2.Introducethetopicofthelessonwithashortvideooratravelbrochure,highlightingdifferenttouristdestinations.

3.Readanarticleoradialoguefromthetextbookrelatedtotraveling.Askstudentstoidentifykeyvocabularyandphrases.

4.Listeningactivity:Playanaudiorecordingofaconversationbetweentwotravelersdiscussingtheirtravelexperiences.Askstudentstotakenotesandanswercomprehensionquestions.

5.Vocabularyactivity:Distributehandoutswithtravel-relatedvocabularyandphrases.Askstudentstomatchthewordstotheirdefinitionsandcompleteafewpracticeexercises.

Day2

Objective:Toexpandstudents’vocabularyanddeveloptheirwritingskills.

1.Vocabularyreview:Starttheclasswithaquickquizonthetravelvocabularyandphrasesintroducedinthepreviouslesson.

2.Speakingactivity:Dividetheclassintopairsandaskthemtorole-playaconversationbetweenatouristandahotelreceptionist.Encouragethemtousethevocabularyandphrasesintroducedinthepreviouslesson.

3.Writingactivity:Assignashorttravelessayandaskstudentstoplanandwritea250-wordessay.Providealistofpromptsandguidelinestohelpthemstructuretheessay.Encouragethemtousedescriptivewordsandphrases.

Day3

Objective:Toexpandstudents’readingandwritingskillsandreinforcethetravelvocabularyandphrases.

1.Readingcomprehension:Distributeashorttravelarticleorstorytothestudents.Encouragethemtoreadthetextandidentifythemainideasandvocabulary.

2.Vocabularydrill:Providetheclasswithasetofflashcardscontainingthetravelvocabularyintroducedinthepreviouslessons.Askstudentstotaketurnsreadingthewordsandtheirdefinitionsoutloud.

3.Writingactivity:Askstudentstowriteapostcardtoafriendorfamilymember,describingaplacetheyhavevisitedorwouldliketovisit.Encouragethemtousethevocabularyandphrasesintroducedinthepreviouslessons.
