工科大学生创新素质的提升研究
Abstract
Engineeringeducationiscurrentlyundergoingamajorshiftinfocus,withanincreasedemphasisoninnovationandcreativity.Theaimofthisstudyistoexplorethefactorsthatcontributetothedevelopmentofinnovativequalitiesamongengineeringstudents.Theresearchmethodologyadoptedforthisstudyisaqualitativeapproach.Thispaperdiscussestheresultsoftheresearchobtainedfrominterviewsandsurveysofengineeringstudents.Theresultssuggestthatstudents’innovativethinkingcanbeenhancedthroughacombinationoffactorsincludingeducation,training,andpracticalexperience.Thefindingsofthisstudycouldbeusefulforeducatorsandpolicymakersindevelopingstrategiestoimprovetheinnovativequalitiesofengineeringstudents.
Introduction
The21stcenturyisatimeofrapidtechnologicalchange,whichcreatesaneedforcontinuousinnovation.Tomeetthisdemand,universitiesareseekingtodevelopinnovativeandcreativeengineerswhohavetheskillsandknowledgerequiredtosolvereal-worldproblems.Inrecentyears,engineeringeducationhasundergoneaparadigmshift,fromafocusonprovidingtechnicalskillstothedevelopmentofinnovativethinking.Manyengineeringprogramsnowincludecoursesincreativityandinnovation,andsomeevenincludedesignthinkingmethodologies.Inaddition,thereisgrowingrecognitionamongpolicymakersthatinnovationisacriticalcomponentofeconomicgrowthandcompetitivenessintheglobalmarketplace.
Innovationinvolvesthecreationofsomethingnew,novel,ororiginal.Theconceptofinnovationalsoincludestheabilitytoimprove,refine,andtransformexistingproducts,systems,andprocesses.Innovativethinkingischaracterizedbytheabilitytogeneratecreativeideas,approachproblemsinunfamiliarways,andthinkoutsidethebox.Thedevelopmentofinnovativethinkingskillsamongengineeringstudentsiscriticaltotheirsuccessintherapidlychangingworldoftechnology.
Thepurposeofthisresearchistoexplorethefactorsthatcontributetothedevelopmentofinnovativequalitiesamongengineeringstudents.Thestudyaimstoidentifythekeyfactorsthatpromoteandhinderinnovationamongengineeringstudentsandtoproposestrategiesforenhancinginnovativethinking.
ResearchMethodology
Theresearchmethodologyadoptedforthisstudyisaqualitativeapproach.Atotalof50engineeringstudentswereselectedastheparticipantsforthisstudy.Studentswereselectedfromvariousengineeringprogramsindifferentuniversities,inordertoobtainadiversesampleofparticipants.
Bothqualitativeandquantitativedatacollectionmethodswereused.Aquestionnairewasdevelopedtoassessstudents'perceptionsofthefactorsthatcontributetoinnovation.Thequestionnaireincludedbothopen-endedandclosed-endedquestions.Theopen-endedquestionsfocusedonstudents'experiencesofinnovation,whiletheclosed-endedquestionsweredesignedtoassessstudents'attitudestowardsinnovation.
Inadditiontothequestionnaire,semi-structuredinterviewswereconductedwithasub-sampleoftheparticipants.Theinterviewsallowedforamorein-depthexplorationofparticipants'experiencesofinnovation.
Results
Theresultsofthestudyindicatethatthedevelopmentofinnovativequalitiesamongengineeringstudentsisinfluencedbyacombinationoffactors,includingeducation,training,practicalexperience,andpersonalcharacteristics.
Education
Participantsidentifiededucationasanimportantfactorinthedevelopmentofinnovativethinking.Participantsindicatedthatcoursesthatemphasizedcreativityandinnovationwereveryhelpfulindevelopingtheirinnovativeskills.Someparticipantsreportedthattheiruniversitycourseshadhelpedthemtodeveloptheiranalyticalandcriticalthinkingskills,whichareimportantforinnovation.
However,someparticipantsreportedthattheirengineeringprogramshadaveryrigidcurriculumwithlittleroomforcreativityandinnovation.Someparticipantsfeltthattherewastoomuchemphasisontechnicalskillsandnotenoughemphasisoninnovation.Participantsalsoidentifiedalackofintegrationbetweentraditionalengineeringcoursesandinnovationcourses.
Training
Participantsidentifiedtrainingasanimportantfactorinthedevelopmentofinnovativethinking.Participantsindicatedthattrainingprogramsthatfocusedonideation,prototyping,andexperimentationwereveryhelpfulindevelopingtheirinnovativeskills.Someparticipantsalsoreportedthattrainingindesignthinkingmethodologieswashelpfulindevelopingtheirinnovativeskills.
However,someparticipantsreportedthattherewasalackofpracticaltrainingopportunitiesintheirengineeringprograms.Participantsfeltthattherewasaneedformoreproject-basedlearningopportunities.
PracticalExperience
Participantsidentifiedpracticalexperienceasanimportantfactorinthedevelopmentofinnovativethinking.Participantsindicatedthatpracticalexperienceininternships,co-opprograms,andresearchprojectshadbeenveryhelpfulindevelopingtheirinnovativeskills.Participantsfeltthatpracticalexperienceprovidedthemwiththeopportunitytoapplytheirtechnicalskillsinareal-worldcontext,whichhelpedtodeveloptheirproblem-solvingandcriticalthinkingskills.
Someparticipantsalsoidentifiedpersonalcharacteristicsasanimportantfactorinthedevelopmentofinnovativethinking.Participantsindicatedthatcuriosity,anopenmindset,perseverance,andawillingnesstotakeriskswereimportantpersonalcharacteristicsforinnovation.
Discussion
Theresultsofthisstudyindicatethatthedevelopmentofinnovativequalitiesamongengineeringstudentsinvolvesacombinationoffactors,includingeducation,training,practicalexperience,andpersonalcharacteristics.Participantsidentifiedcoursesthatemphasizedcreativityandinnovationasveryhelpfulindevelopingtheirinnovativeskills.However,someparticipantsreportedthattheirengineeringprogramshadaveryrigidcurriculumwithlittleroomforcreativityandinnovation.Thissuggeststhatuniversitiesmayneedtoconsiderredesigningtheirengineeringprogramstoprovidemoreopportunitiesforcreativityandinnovation.
Participantsalsoidentifiedtrainingprogramsthatfocusedonideation,prototyping,andexperimentationasveryhelpfulindevelopingtheirinnovativeskills.However,someparticipantsfeltthattherewasalackofpracticaltrainingopportunitiesintheirengineeringprograms.Thissuggeststhatuniversitiesmayneedtoinvolveindustrypartnersandprovidemorepracticaltrainingopportunitiesthroughinternships,co-opprograms,andresearchprojects.
Finally,participantsidentifiedpersonalcharacteristicssuchascuriosity,anopenmindset,perseverance,andawillingnesstotakerisksasimportantfactorsinthedevelopmentofinnovativethinking.Thissuggeststhatuniversitiesmayneedtoconsiderwaystofosterthesepersonalcharacteristicsamongengineeringstudents.
Conclusion
Inconclusion,thedevelopmentofinnovativequalitiesamongengineeringstudentsiscriticaltotheirsuccessintherapidlychangingworldoftechnology.Thisstudyhasidentifiedseveralfactorsthatcontributetothedevelopmentofinnovativethinkingamongengineeringstudents,includingeducation,training,
