ThesystemstartswithtwelveyearsofprimaryandsecondaryschooleducationwhichtheAmericanshavetofollow.Asecondaryschool("highschool")diplomaorcertificateisacompulsoryrequirementforthestudenttobeabletoaentercollege,university,vocational,secretarialorotherprofessionalandtechnicalschools.

HigherEducation:Aftercompletinghighschoolorthetwelfthgrade,studentsareadmittedtocollegeoruniversityforhighereducation.StudyatacollegeoruniversityleadingtotheBachelor'sDegreeisknownas"undergraduate"education.StudybeyondtheBachelor'sDegreeisknownasTheUSAEducationSystem"graduate"school,or"postgraduate"education.Advancedorgraduatedegreesincludelaw,medicine,M.B.A.,andPh.D.(doctorate)etc.
