mouthmovements.

involvedinthenewstudy.
Theresearchteam,ledbyNewcastleUniversityneuroscientistSukhbinderKumar,analyzed
brainactivityinpeoplewithandwithoutmisophoniawhentheywereatrestandwhilethey
listenedtosounds.Theseincludedmisophoniatriggers(suchaschewing),generallyunpleasant
sounds(likeacryingbaby),andneutralsounds.Thebrain'sauditory(听觉的)cortex,which
