基于STEAM理念的本科酒店管理专业创新型人才培养研究摘要:

随着社会经济和科技的发展,酒店管理行业也日益壮大,同时,不断出现新的挑战和机遇。为了培养具有创新精神的酒店管理人才,本文以STEAM(科学,技术,工程,艺术,数学)理念为基础,构建了本科酒店管理专业创新型人才培养模式,并对该模式进行了实践和研究。首先,通过调查问卷和访谈等方式,分析了学生对酒店管理专业及其人才培养的认知和需求;其次,建立了“理论学习+实践探究+创新实践”三大环节的课程体系,实现了课程内容、教学方法和实践活动的创新和融合;然后,利用实践项目、竞赛和论文等方式,培养学生的实践能力和创新思维;最后,通过学生问卷、专家评审和实践效果评估等方式,对模式进行了评价和总结。研究表明,基于STEAM理念的本科酒店管理专业创新型人才培养模式,能够有效地激发学生的创新精神和实践能力,培养出具有综合素质和专业技能的酒店管理人才。本文对于提高酒店管理专业人才培养质量和推动教学改革具有一定的参考价值。

Abstract:

Withthedevelopmentofsocialeconomyandtechnology,thehotelmanagementindustryisalsogrowingrapidly,andthereareconstantlynewchallengesandopportunities.Inordertocultivateinnovativetalentsinhotelmanagement,thispapertakestheSTEAM(Science,Technology,Engineering,Arts,andMathematics)conceptasthebasistoconstructaninnovativetalentcultivationmodelfortheundergraduatehotelmanagementmajor,andconductspracticeandresearchonthemodel.Firstly,bymeansofquestionnairesandinterviews,thepaperanalyzesstudents'understandinganddemandforhotelmanagementmajorsandtalentcultivation.Secondly,acurriculumsystemwiththreemajorlinksof"theoreticallearning+practicalexploration+innovativepractice"isestablishedtorealizeinnovationandintegrationofcurriculumcontent,teachingmethodsandpracticalactivities.Then,bymeansofpracticalprojects,competitions,andpapers,students'practicalabilityandinnovativethinkingarecultivated.Finally,themodelisevaluatedandsummarizedbymeansofstudentquestionnaires,expertreviewsandpracticaleffectevaluations.ThestudyshowsthattheinnovativetalentcultivationmodelfortheundergraduatehotelmanagementmajorbasedontheSTEAMconceptcaneffectivelystimulatestudents'innovativespiritandpracticalability,andcultivatehotelmanagementtalentswithcomprehensivequalitiesandprofessionalskills.Theresearchhascertainreferencevalueforimprovingthequalityoftalentcultivationinhotelmanagementmajorsandpromotingteachingreform.

Secondly,theSTEAMconceptcanimprovestudents'practicalabilities.Hotelmanagementrequireshands-onskillsinvariousareassuchasfoodandbeverage,housekeeping,customerservice,andrevenuemanagement.Theconcept'sdesignthinkingprocessencouragesstudentstodevelopprototypesandtesttheirideas,leadingtopracticalskillsdevelopment.Moreover,collaborationandteamwork,acrucialaspectoftheSTEAMconcept,canimprovestudents'communicationandleadershipskills.

IncorporatingtheSTEAMapproachcanalsoenhancestudents'creativity,appreciationofaesthetics,andculturalawareness.Studentsareexposedtodifferentartforms,cultures,anddesignprinciples,whichcaninfluencetheirthinkingandproblem-solvingskills.Integratingartanddesigncoursesintothehotelmanagementcurriculumcanhelpstudentsdevelopaneyeforaestheticsandimprovetheirabilitiestocreatevisuallyappealingandengaginghospitalityspaces.

OneofthewaystoalignhotelmanagementcurriculumswithSTEAMisbyintegratingtechnologyanddataanalysisintotheclasses.Forinstance,hotelmanagementstudentscanbetaughthowtousesoftwaretomanagehoteloperationssuchasbookings,billing,inventory,marketing,andrevenuemanagement.Coursesondatabasemanagement,webdesign,andanalyticscanofferstudentsadeeperunderstandingofhowtechnologycanoptimizeandstreamlinehoteloperations,improveguestexperienceandoverallprofitability.Learningtheseskillscanalsocreatenewjobopportunitiesforstudents,leadingtojobsecurityandindustryrelevance.
