摘要:由于新冠疫情的影响,许多高校转向在线教学模式,这对英语教师的教育能力和评价素养提出了更高的要求。本研究旨在探讨在线教学模式下高校英语教师的评价素养现状,并提出提高英语教师评价素养的建议。采用问卷调查法对某高校英语教师进行了调查,并对数据进行统计和分析。结果表明,英语教师的教学能力和评价素养存在差异,影响因素包括个人因素、工作环境和学生特点等。研究提出了加强英语教育教学能力培养、优化教学方式、提高教育管理水平等建议,以促进高校英语教师评价素养的提升。

Abstract:DuetotheimpactoftheCovid-19pandemic,manyuniversitieshaveturnedtoonlineteachingmode,whichposeshigherrequirementsfortheeducationalabilityandevaluationliteracyofEnglishteachers.ThisstudyaimstoexplorethecurrentsituationofevaluationliteracyofEnglishteachersinonlineteachingmodeincollegesanduniversities,andtoproposesuggestionsforimprovingtheirevaluationliteracy.AquestionnairesurveywasconductedonEnglishteachersinacertainuniversity,andthedatawerestatisticallyanalyzed.TheresultsshowthattherearedifferencesintheteachingabilityandevaluationliteracyofEnglishteachers,andtheinfluencingfactorsincludepersonalfactors,workenvironmentandstudentcharacteristics.ThestudyproposessuggestionssuchasstrengtheningthecultivationofEnglisheducationandteachingability,optimizingteachingmethods,andimprovingeducationalmanagementlevel,inordertopromotetheimprovementofevaluationliteracyofEnglishteachersincollegesanduniversities.

Personalfactors,includingteachers'educationalbackground,teachingexperience,andprofessionaldevelopment,canaffecttheirevaluationliteracy.Teacherswithhighereducationalbackgroundtendtohaveabetterunderstandingoftheevaluationtheoriesandmethodologies,whichenablethemtomakemoreaccurateandobjectivejudgments.Moreover,experiencedteachersaremorelikelytobeproficientinusingvariousevaluationtoolsandtechniques,andhaveabetterunderstandingoftheirlimitationsandpotentials.Professionaldevelopmentisalsoessentialforteacherstoenhancetheirevaluationliteracy,suchasattendingworkshops,observingpeerteachers'practices,andengaginginreflectivepractices.

Workenvironment,includinginstitutionalpoliciesandsupport,teachingresources,andclassroommanagement,caninfluenceteachers'evaluationliteracy.Institutions'policiesandsupportcanprovideaclearframeworkandguidelinesforevaluationpractices,andensurethefairnessandvalidityoftheevaluationprocess.Adequateteachingresources,suchastextbooks,software,andmultimediatools,canenrichtheevaluationmethodsandimprovethereliabilityandvalidityoftheevaluation.Effectiveclassroommanagement,suchasestablishingclearrulesandexpectations,andprovidingfeedbackandguidance,canalsopromotestudents'engagementandmotivation,andfacilitatetheevaluationprocess.

Studentcharacteristics,suchastheirlanguageproficiency,learningstyles,andmotivation,canalsoaffecttheevaluationliteracyofEnglishteachers.Teachersneedtobeawareofstudents'individualdifferences,andadoptappropriateevaluationmethodsandcriteriabasedonstudents'needsandpreferences.Forexample,studentswithdifferentlearningstylesmayexcelindifferentevaluationtasks,suchaslistening,speaking,reading,orwriting.Inaddition,students'motivationandattitudetowardslearningcanalsoinfluencetheevaluationprocess,suchastheirwillingnesstoparticipateinclassactivities,theirperceptionoftherelevanceandimportanceoftheassessment,andtheiracceptanceoffeedbackandcriticism.

TopromotetheimprovementofevaluationliteracyofEnglishteachersincollegesanduniversities,severalsuggestionsareproposed.First,institutionsneedtostrengthenthecultivationofEnglisheducationandteachingability,byofferingmoretrainingprogramsandworkshops,andprovidingmoreopportunitiesforteacherstoobserveandsharetheirpractices.Second,teachingmethodsneedtobeoptimized,byincorporatingmoreinteractiveandcollaborativeactivities,anddiversifyingtheevaluationmethodsbasedonthelearninggoalsandoutcomes.Third,educationalmanagementlevelneedstobeimproved,byestablishingasoundevaluationsystem,andprovidingasupportiveandsustainablelearningenvironmentforbothteachersandstudents.

Inconclusion,evaluationliteracyisacriticalaspectofteacher'sprofessionalcompetence,anditisincreasinglyimportantintheonlineteachingmode.Personalfactors,workenvironment,andstudentcharacteristicsaretheinfluencingfactorsthataffecttheevaluationliteracyofEnglishteachersincollegesanduniversities.Topromotetheimprovementofevaluationliteracy,institutionsneedtostrengthenthecultivationofEnglisheducationandteachingability,optimizeteachingmethods,andimproveeducationalmanagementlevelInadditiontothefactorsmentionedabove,thereareseveralotherfactorsthatcaninfluencetheevaluationliteracyofEnglishteachersincollegesanduniversities.Onesuchfactoristhetrainingandprofessionaldevelopmentopportunitiesprovidedtoteachers.Institutionsshouldprovideregulartrainingsessionsandprofessionaldevelopmentopportunitiesfortheirteacherstoimprovetheirevaluationliteracy.

Anotherfactorthatcanaffectevaluationliteracyistheavailabilityofresourcesforevaluation.Institutionsshouldprovideadequatefundingandresourcesforevaluationpurposes,suchasassessmenttools,software,andtrainingmanuals.Thiscanhelpteacherstodeveloptheirevaluationskillsandcarryoutassessmentsmoreeffectively.

Moreover,thecultureandvaluesofaninstitutioncanalsoinfluenceevaluationliteracy.Institutionsthatplaceahighvalueonassessmentandevaluationaremorelikelytohaveteacherswhoareproficientinevaluation.Therefore,institutionsshouldbuildaculturethatpromotesassessmentandevaluationandrecognizestheirimportanceinimprovingteachingandlearningoutcomes.

Finally,theuseoftechnologycanalsoplayasignificantroleinimprovingevaluationliteracy.Institutionscanusetechnology-basedassessmenttoolsandplatformsthatcanprovideinstantfeedbackandhelpteacherstocarryoutassessmentsmoreefficiently.Moreover,useoftechnologycanhelpinstitutionstocollectdataandanalyzeresults,whichcanfurtherhelpteacherstoimprovetheirevaluationpractices.

Inconclusion,evaluationliteracyisanessentialcomponentofteacher'sprofessionalcompetenceintheonlineteachingmode.Institutionsneedtotakeintoaccountvariousfactorsthatcanaffectevaluationliteracyandimplementstrategiestoimproveit.Bydoingso,theycanhelptheirteacherstodevelopeffectiveevaluationpracticesthatcanimproveteachingandlearningoutcomesOnestrategythatinstitutionscanimplementtoimproveevaluationliteracyistoprovideprofessionaldevelopmentopportunitiesforteachers.Theseopportunitiescanfocusonvariousaspectsofevaluationliteracy,includingassessmentdesign,gradingpractices,andfeedbackstrategies.Byofferingsuchopportunities,institutionscanensurethattheirteachersareequippedwiththenecessaryknowledgeandskillstoengageineffectiveevaluationpractices.

Anotherstrategythatinstitutionscanemployistocreateacultureofevaluation.Thiscanbeachievedbypromotingtheimportanceofevaluationthroughvariouscommunicationchannels,suchasnewsletters,facultymeetings,andtrainingsessions.Bydoingso,institutionscanhelptheirteacherstorecognizetheimportanceofevaluationintheirteachingpracticesandfosteranenvironmentwhereevaluationisvaluedandcelebrated.

Furthermore,institutionscanutilizetechnologytoimproveevaluationliteracy.Forexample,onlineplatformscanbeusedtoprovideteacherswithaccesstoarangeofevaluationresources,includingassessmenttemplates,gradingrubrics,andfeedbacktools.Theseresourcescanhelpteacherstodesigneffectiveevaluationsthatalignwithlearningobjectivesandpromotestudentlearning.

Finally,institutionscanencouragecollaborationamongteacherstopromoteevaluationliteracy.Bycreatingopportunitiesforteacherstosharetheirevaluationpracticesandlearnfromeachother,institutionscanfosteracommunityofpracticethatencouragescontinuousimprovementinevaluationpractices.Thiscanalsohelpteacherstoreflectontheirownevaluationpracticesandidentifyareasforimprovement.
