LessonType:ListeningandSpeakingTime:45minutesStudents:Senior1NewSeniorEnglish(2004)forChinaStudent'sBook1Unit4EarthquakesUsingLanguage-Listening1Goodmorning,everyone!It’mysgreatpleasuretobeheretogivemylessonplanpresentation.ThelessonplanIamgoingtopresentislisteningpartofUnit4fromtheNewSeniorEnglish(2004)forChinaStudent'sBook1forstudentsinSenior1.NowI’dliketoexplainhowtoteachthislisteningandspeakingclassandthereasonfordoingsofromthefollowing5aspects:theanalysisofteachingmaterialandthestudents;theteachingobjectives,importantpointsanddifficultpoints;theteachingmethodsandaids;teachingprocedure;andthelayoutofblackboard.PartⅠAnalysisofteachingmaterialandstudentsFirst,Iwillanalyzetheteachingmaterial.IttheNewSenior’sfromEnglish(2004)forChinawhichislisteningtoaninterviewofthegreatSanFranciscoearthquakein1906.Theteachingmaterialisnotsoeasyforstudentsbecauseitneedstudentstolistencarefully,meanwhile,takenotesandanalyzethelisteningmaterialsthenspeakouttheiranswers.Allinall,itisveryusefultoimprovestudents’listeningabilities.Nowlet’smoveontotheanalysisofSs.ThestudentsareinSenior1.MostofthestudentshavebeenlearningEnglishfor6years,sotheyhavealreadymasteredthebasicwordsandexpressions,andtheyhavebasiclisteningabilities.TheyareinterestedinlearningEnglishandarequitefamiliarwiththetask-basedlanguageteachingmodel,butsomeofthemarestillafraidofspeakingEnglishinfrontoftheclass.Intermsofthat,teachershouldpayattentiontotheirindividualdifferenceandencouragethemtoairtheiropinionsmoreinclass.PartⅡTeachingobjectives,teachingimportantpointsanddifficultpointsBasedontheanalysesofteachingmaterialandthelearningcondition,Iwillputforwardtheteachingobjectivesfrom5aspects.Bytheendofthisclass,thestudentswillbeableto:1.Languageknowledge:Learnsomenewwordsaboutearthquakes:shake,crack,rush,bricks,falldown.2.Abilityobjects:1)Improvetheirlisteningandoralexpressionabilities.2)Predictanswersbeforelisteningandcapturethekeywordswhilelistening.3.Emotionalobjects:1)Learnsomesurvivalskillswhentheearthquakehappens.2)Feelthepowerofournation'spost-disasterreconstructionefforts.24.Learningstrategies:1)Utilizenetworktosearchandscreeninformation.2)Learntolearnindividuallyandcooperatively.5.Culturalobjective:KnowsomesituationsabouttheSanFranciscoearthquakesin1906.Teachingkeypoints&difficultpoints1).TeachingkeypointsHowtomakeSsknowsomesituationsabouttheSanFranciscoearthquakesin1906andlearnsomewordsaboutearthquakes:shake,crack,rush,bricks,falldown.2).TeachingdifficultpointsHowtogetSsto:1)Improvetheirlisteningandoralexpressionabilities;2)Predictanswersbeforelisteningandcapturethekeywordswhilelistening.PartⅢTheteachingmethodsandaidsThen,let’focusonthewaysofteachingmethodsandaids.Accordingtonewnationalcurriculumstandard,thestudent-centeredteachingidea,Iadoptfollowingteachingmethods:task-basedlanguageteachingmethodandPWPteachingmethod.Iwillsetclearandvarioustaskswillbeusedtotrainstudentsand’listeningoralexpressionabilities.Besides,multimediadevicesandPPTdocumentsarealsousedasmyteachingaids.PartⅣTeachingprocedureInordertoachievethelearningobjectivesabove,differentactivitiesaredesignedrespectivelyinfourstages:Lead-in,pre-listening,while-listening,post-listening.Step1Lead-in.Thisstepwillcost2minutes.Aswecansee,oncethestudents’interestisarousedinthebeginning,thewholeclasswillgothroughmoresmoothly.Sointhisstep,Imakeoutanactivitythatislisteningtoasoundofearthquake,andIwillaskSswhatsounditisinordertoactivatetheSs’interestandleadtothetopic“earthquake”.Step2Pre-listening.Thisstephastwoactivitiesthatwillcost8minutes.First,Iwillplayavideoaboutbackgroundofthelisteningmaterials.Andtask-basedlanguageteachingmethodwillbeemployedhere.Somenewwordsareaddedinthevideo,andSsareaskedtowatchvideoandtakenotes.Basedonthevideotheywatch,IwillcheckwhetherSscouldrememberthewordsappearedbyplayingsomescreenshots.3Second,SswillbegroupedtopredictanswersofTask1thenwritedowneachgroup’sownanswers(TorF)ontheblackboard.AndSsneedtoexplainthereasonsoftheirpredictions.Iwillalsogivemyownopinions.ThepurposeistohelpSstolearnnewwords,understandthebackgroundofthelisteningmaterial,activateSs’previousknowledgestoreandtraintheirteamworkabilities.Step3While-reading.Thewholestepwillcost22minutes.First,Iwillplaythetapeofthelisteningmaterial,andSslistentoitandfinishTask1individually.Afterlistening,I’dliketoinvitesomeSstogiveanswersandexplainthereasons,andIwillchecktheanswersgivenandwrittenonblackboardbyshowingcorrectanswers.Second,SswilllistenthetapeagainandfinishTask2.Beforelistening,Ssalsoneedtobegroupedtoanalyzethekeypointsofthequestionsinordertocapturethekeyinformationwhilelistening.Ssarerequiredtotakenoteswhenlistening.Afterlistening,I’dliketoinvitesomeSstospeakoutanswers,andIwillchecktheiranswersandanalyzethedetailedinformationofthelisteningmaterialbycontrollingthetape.ThiswholestepaimstotrainSs’team-work,listening,andoralexpressionabilities.Step4Post-listening.Itwillcost12minutes.First,Iwillshowthelisteningtextandplaythetapetogether.Ssfollowlookatthetextandfollowtapetoreadsentencebysentence.Thepurposeistomakesuretheans
