二楼的执着OBSESSIONSFROMTHESECOND 策展人李姗姗致辞IntroductionbyLi 在北极圈 IwenttotheNorthPoletoSee 影像作品 ART 策展人致IntroductionbyHenning极地光影来自北方的故特罗姆瑟国际节荣幸地宣布,作为“极地光影”放映活动的特罗姆瑟国际节是北极最大的节,世界各地的通过这个出发全世界。这里,中国观众在“极地光影”这个放映中看到放映出自极地地区的短片和片。是要同。我们节坚信是可以远离它的出生地,带着同他人的目的走得很远。做为节,我们想带给观众的不是仅限于的体验,我们的使命也包括给观众一点,让观众得到一种出自创造者内心力的影片传递的体验,通过大银幕走进一些不那么寻常的故事和人物的生活,体会他们的喜怒哀乐。当观众勇于接受这样的,了一些主流之外的思维和故事,也就是在这个时候,观影的收益才会更大。就在着笔写这篇文章的时候,我刚刚从另外一个规模大得多的节回来,那就是法国戛纳节。在这样一个世界级重要的节上汇集的是来自全世界的,从法国、意大利到阿根廷,土耳其和中国(有了不起的贾樟柯导演,确实不止是一种全球现象,它更是一种全球语言,它走进世界各地的人们的内心,把不同地域的人们普遍的生存状况用讲述,再将它们带到世界的任何一个角落,放映给那里的观众。现在让我来告诉你一些北方的故事。特罗姆瑟位于北纬9度的北极圈以北,每年1月,在特罗姆瑟国际节举行的日子里,北极的太阳已经在地平线下了两个月了,北方漫长的冬天特有的极夜现象正在进入尾声。与极夜对立的另外一面是,每年夏天我们会有两个多这种独特的季节变幻,漫漫长夜的冬天,缓缓日照的夏天正是这些来自北方的生。地政上这土被做巴海区,北角的科拉。这片广裘的土地上居住着不同语言不同民族的多国人民,但又一起着许多同性:这里都是每个国家最遥远的北方,人口稀少,远离首都和大城市;这里资源丰富,历史上向来都是贸易和货物的集散地;不同民族的人们在各个国家的边境线上居住和迁徙,共同生今天,很大程度上他们依旧保持着自己的语言和传统生活方式。通过这些来自北方的影片,我希望能感受到这片土地上的多样性和将我们联系在一起的共同的根。在这里,请允许我代表特罗姆瑟国际节,对主办这次活动的中国合作方,我们的联合策展人李姗姗和表示感谢。的努力让这些来自北方极地的影片的大城市得到展示,这会是旅行的开始对地球上的这样一个特殊角落有所了解。已经启航,希望它们特罗姆瑟国际节2015628挪威特罗姆
寒宁·罗森寒宁·罗森伦德为现任特罗姆瑟国际节。特罗姆瑟国际节是斯堪的纳维亚最重要的节之一,也是挪威最大的节。寒宁从2008年起为该节工作,前后多个职位,包括展映短片与纪录片的“来自北方的故事”单元。寒宁拥有挪威科技大学制作学位。他同时也是一名自由电影人,短片导演。BeyondFrozenStoriesfromtheOnbehalfofTromsøInternationalFilmFestival,itisagreathonourtobeabletopresenttheprogramBEYONDFROZENPOINT-STORIESFROMTHENORTHtoaudiencesinChina.TromsøInternationalFilmFestivalisoneofthebiggestfilmfestivalsinScandinavia,andworksbothtopresentworldcinematoourregionalaudience,butalsotobringregionalfilmstoriesouttotheworld.Inourrecurringsidebar“FifromtheNorth”,wepresentshortandaryfifromourregion.ThefiofferedtoyouareallfromtheFifromtheNorthsidebar.Ourfestivalworksfromastrongbeliefintheimportanceofsharingstoriesfromallovertheworld.Webelieveinthecommonexperienceofcinema,andthatart,andparticularlyfi,cantravelfarfromitsbirthplace.Weoftenthinkofourmissionastochallengeouraudience.Meaningtopresentfithatmakethemexperiencesomethingunusualororiginal.Cinemaisamediumwellpositionedtodothis.Characterscomealiveonthebigscreen,andthroughtheiractions,wegettoknowthem.Withcinema,youcanexperiencethestories,thereasonsandemotionsofpeopleyouhavenevermetbefore.Weusuallyfindthatwhentheaudienceiswillingtolookalittlebitoutsidethemainstream,therewardwillberich.WritingthisIhavejustreturnedfromanother(andmuchlarger)filmfestival,namelytheoneinCannes,andagainbeenremindedofhowtrulyglobalcinemacanbeatitsbest.IsawnewfifromArgentina,China(thegreatJiaZhang-Ke),France,Hungary,Italy,JapanandTurkey,amongstothers.Itremindedmethatfilmisnotonlyaglobaloutput,butalsoaworkinggloballanguage,makingthehumanconditionfromdifferentpartsoftheworldvisibleforeveryonewhowantstosee.Withthisinmind,letusturntotheprogramathand:BEYONDFROZENPOINT–STORIESFROMTHENORTH.Thetitlesdoesnotlie,butitdoesnotlthewholetrutheither.Tobesure,thecityofTromsøliesabovetheArcticCircle,onthe69thlatitude.Evenmore,ourfestivaltakesplaceeachyearinJanuary,justattheendofthepolarnightwhenthesunhasbeengonebeyondthehorizonfortwomonths.Theflipsideisofcoursethatwealsoexperiencetwomonthsofmidnightsunduringamild,butnotfreezing,summer.Thechangingseasons,thefrozenwintersandthegentlesummers,thecoolNordiclightthroughout–theyareallpresentinthefiHenningHenningRosenlundisthecurrentDeputyProgramDirectoroftheTromsøInternationalFilmFestival,oneofthemostimportantfilmvenuesofScandinaviaandthelargestofitskindinNorway.Hehasbeenworkingforthefestivalsince2008invariouspositions,includingasHeadofthesidebarforshortfiandaries,“FifromtheNorth”.HenningholdsaMasterofMediaProductiondegreefromtheNorwegianUniversityofScienceandTechnology.Hehasalsoworkedasafreelancefilmmakeranddirectedshortfi.
presentedhere.AllfiarefromwhatwecalltheBarentsRegion,ormoreloosely“TheHighNorth”.ThisisanArctic/Sub-ArcticregionspanningfromNorthernNorwayviatheNorthernpartsofSwedenandFinland,andincludingtheEast-NorthernpartsofRussia.Eventhoughthisregionspansdifferentnationswith(very)differentlanguages,italsohassomesimilarities.Theclimateisonething,butforourpurpose,therearealsosomeculturalaspectsofimportance.Thesearethenorthernmostpartsofeachcountry,farremovedfromitscapitalsandrelativelysparselypopulated.Still,itisaregionrichonresourcesandithastraditionallyseenacertainleveloftradeandexchange,withdifferentpopulationgroupslivingtogetherandcrossingthenationalborders.Throughouttheregion,youwillfindtheindigenouspeopleofeachnation,respectivelytheSámipeopleinScandinaviaandtheNenetsofRussia,whotoavariousdegreemaintainstheirlanguageandtraditionalwayoflife.Inthefilmprogramspresentedhere,wehopeyouwillbeabletoseethevarietiesoftheregion,aswellasthetraitsbindingustogether.OnbehalfofTromsøInternationalFilmFestival,IwouldliketoexpressoursincerethankstoourChinesepartners,organizersandco-curators:LiShanshanandKaimeiWang.LiShanshancontactedusinTromsøatourrecentfestivalandgaveusthisgreatopportunitytopresentfifromourregioninsomeofChina’sbiggestcities.Itwasthestartofagreatjourney.Wehopethesefourfilmprograms,andtheartexhibitionthat paniesthem,willgiveyouastrongimpressionaboutaparticularcornerofthisworld–andthatthefiwilltravelsafelyandfindaplacewithinyou.HenningDeputyProgramDirectorTromsøInternationalFilmFestival28th,June2015atTromsø,策展人致IntroductionbyKaimei冰封之地,灵动影北方,极地…北纬60度以北的地球表面聚合着北半球人迹罕至的广裘土地,常年不化的积雪冻土和世世代活在这里的原住民:萨米人、涅涅茨人、鄂温克人…这里远离世界金融的中心,却又是全球地理政治的敏感地区;这里储蓄着资源,蕴涵着,挟裹着,暗藏着冲。无论是地球温室效应对北极冰层的,还是全球化在疆域争端的世界政治中的推进,关于北极的讨论是牵动地球共同未来的热点话题。严酷的生存环境塑造着这里的人们特殊的心理性格,沉默寡语,粗犷豪爽、幽默尖刻。社会性牵连着地域性,地方性相遇国际性,当代社会里的各种,即使在极地也无可逃避。中年人的,青年人的好奇,传统文化面对冰封的土地不停息地涌动着令人着迷的画面,和冰层下丰富的地理资源一样是生活在这里的艺术家们创作灵感的来源。联地响的特国际极光自的”展示的是17部来自北极的创作的短片,它们分别来自瑞典、芬兰、挪威、丹麦的格陵兰岛和俄罗斯五国。北方的人文地理是这些影片共同的背景,壮美的极地风光是它们共同的发生地,而牵连着北方人的历史和现在的生活状态就是这些影片讲述的故事在北欧,大自然总是在人们触手可及的周边,自然与人的和谐相处是北欧人融于血液中的天性,可以说,北欧福利社会的物质和精神支柱都是建立在与大自然朝夕相处的亲密关系中的。想北欧的文化名人,从斯特林堡到易卜生,从蒙克到西贝柳斯,他们的艺术作品中深沉忧郁的气质,灵光闪动的魔力传递出扑面而来的北方森的气息。这是一片孕育童话和制造诗意的森林,复杂的历史渊源在每一片看似平静的湖水下蕴藏着的都是盘根错节的过去与现在。文学奖得主,瑞典诗人特朗斯特罗姆的诗:B《论历史》特朗斯特罗姆诗歌全集,翻译李笠,文艺,2012特朗斯特罗姆的诗交给我们一把打开北欧人心怀的,正如这里的电影为我们带来极地北方的故事。这是国内第一次以“北方极地”的概念举行的放映活动,一个少有的在大银幕上欣赏地球上这个特殊角落的壮观风景,了解这里的北方人的独特机会。影片放映分为四个从不同的角度带我们走进这里的风景和人文。尤其是“萨米声音”作品全部出自北极地区的萨米青年艺术家之手,他们以同世界同步的眼光审视自己的文化根源,用音乐和 历史和传统在当代社会的色。再把目光转向高纬度的亚洲,中国的北方也生活着以饲养驯鹿为生的民族和黑山白水的东北冻土。居住在内的鄂温克人同北极的萨米人一样,也着保留和发展的;中国东北人的黑色幽默成了地域对人性的划定,而性格的形成又无不牵连着自然的塑造。的传统文化中,自然是仕途文人隐居和重生的乐园,他们在大自然中修身养性,抒发诗人情怀,风景是这种情怀的投射,是慰籍心灵的良药。但当自然成为一种严酷的生存背景,一种考验意志的极限体验的时候,自然又开启了人生意义的思考。从北方做为地理和文化的概念出发,我们选择了四部中国影片,对寒冷地域的特殊人文地理再做来自中国角度的解读。最后,一个特别放映项目将带来瑞典大师罗伊·安德森执导的上届节金狮奖获奖影片《寒枝雀静》,这部北欧式的缓慢精致充满幽默与人性的影片将我们关于地域与人性的探究推向一场关于存在意义的哲学思考。观影首先是一个身体的参与活动和头脑在中被银幕上的画面激发想像的感知过程。每年1月,当北极圈内的冻土完全被黑夜笼罩,天空只有被飘忽不定的北照亮的时候,在欧洲最北的城市,特罗姆瑟国际节就开幕了,窗外是极地雪景,屋内却温暖如春,关上灯在中这是艺术的所在。这个夏天,当中国各地还在被酷暑的时候,我们给大家带来了北方冬日的严酷寒冷,极地夏日的神奇日出,纯净的空气,宁静的自然,独具个性的北方人的生活片段让我们看到别人也看到自己。所有这一切,当它们通过光影的变幻展现出来的时候,就是我们打开大脑,走进北极的艺术历程开启的时刻了。“极地光影”策展20156月28

驻北。拥有苏富比艺术学院当代艺术理论学位,现为一名独立艺术评论人和策展人,国内外诸多重要艺术杂志的撰稿人。被提名2014年评论奖,2015年艺术登陆新加坡艺FrozenLand,MovingStoriesfromtheTheNorthPoleRegion,withitsmassivelandandarcticicecapabovetheNorthArcticCircleisoneofthecoldestplacesontheearth.Thelandisfrozenallyearround,andthehighlatitudemakesfor24-hoursdaysinsummerandlong,darknightsinwinter.Inrecentyearshumanactivitieshaveincreasedrapidlyinthechasefornaturalresourcesandnewterritories.Meanwhile,thethreatofglobalwarmingandclimatechangehascreatednewdisputeswithininternationalpolitics.Despiteitsseemingdistancetotheworld’sfinancialcenter,theregionnorthofthe60degreelatitudeisahotspotthatevokesquestionsconcerningourcommonTheNorthPoleRegionisthehomeofpolarindigenoussettlements,suchastheSamiinScandinaviaandtheNenetsinRussia.Theharshnatureofthepolarregionshapestheuniquecharactersofthesepeople.Theirquietnessandroughnessgohandinhandwiththeirkindnessandopenness.Intheglobalworldtoday,evenatthisveryspecialcorneroftheearthinhabitantsinevitablysharemanyexperienceswiththerestoftheworld.Hereiswherethelocalmeetstheglobalandthetraditionalmeetsthemodern.Thepreservationofindigenousculture,protectionismagainstoutsiders,andthepricestobepaidforenvironmentandwealth-gainingaresomeveryurgentissuesforthePolarRegion.Naturally,thesearealsosourcesofinspirationforartistsandcreativemindslivinghere.IncollaborationwiththeTromsøInternationalFilmFestival,wearepleasedtopresenttoChineseaudiencesBeyondFrozenPoint:StoriesfromtheNorth,afilmscreeningprogramme.Wewillshow16shortandaryfi,allfreshlymadebyartistsfromSweden,Finland,Norway,GreenlandinDenmarkandRussia.Thecommonrootofthesefiisthebreath-takingpolarnature,andthenarrativesareallaboutpeoplelivingthere.NaturehasalwaysplayedanimportantroleinNordicsocieties.Theextremeharshlivingconditionshavetaughtthelocalstocoexistwiththerhythmsofnaturesinceancienttimes.ItisfromthissharedtraditionofrespectpaidtonaturethattheNordiccountriesbecamewhattheyareintheworldtoday.NatureisthesiteofNordicwelfaresocietiesandtheirsharedculturalheritage.NatureiswheretheNorthernpeopleregainenergyandfindinspiration.Wecanexperiencecloseconnectionswithnatureinart,inliterature,inmusicandinficomingfromtheNordiccountries.AugustStringberg,HenricIbsen,EdwardMunch,andJeanSibeliusarejustafewrepresentativesofthislegacy.NatureformsitsownnarrativethatisalwayslinkedwithNordiclegends,mythologyandacomplexhistory.Underneaththeprofoundtranquilityofthedarkforestanddeepwater,nothingisassimpleasitlooks.AsthewinnerofNobelPrizeforliteratureTomasTranstromerwrote:“OneMarchdayIwalkeddowntothelakeshoretolistenTheicewasblueasthesky.AndbreakingupinthesunThesunwhispersintoamicrophoneundertheice.There’saseethingandburbling.FaroutitsoundslikeasheetbeingsnappedThewholethingislikeHistory:ourpresent.Weareloweredintoit,welisten.”BThisinsightfulreflectiononnatureandhistoryprovidesuswithonekeytoenterintothepsychologicalworldsoftheNordicpeople.Thisisalsowhatthefi
