They compiled a list of restaurants, hotels, inns and holiday destinations that were willing to accommodate black travelers at that time.The book was published until the mid-1960s, when it was

6、gradually withdrawn as the affirmative action movement progressed.Few people today have heard of the Green Book, but for decades it was the bible of every black traveler. Without it, travel meas humiliation and danger, especially in the south America.Behind the convenience of the Green Book lies the

7、 separate but equal policy of segregation in the south.FILMMAKINGTECHNIQUEEvery lamp and every light source is reasonable.The films cinematographer, Sean Porter, has a taste for realism, limiting the films hues to those that might have been produced by a 1960s light source. 9、hey could have taken their new digital cameras and pointed them at a scene that the art department had set up that looked and felt like 1962.How do they create a 60s feel?The well-informed audience is already tired of the model operas in Hollywood. But why is this story still so compelling? No more

10、than because its emotional curve is very real. The root cause of the drivers initial embrace with black musician for money and livelihood is nothing more than empathy. Close observation and empathy made him come to understand that the pursuit of equality is the instinct of every human being, regardl

11、ess of color or nationality. Like all successful mainstream stories, it hides in small details what others always want to preach and shout about. 12、us contradictions in the film.First, the conflict between blacks and whites. Second, the contradiction between the upper class and the lower society. Third, the contradiction of self-cognition. As the story progresses, the three contradictions gradually deepen.Universal valuesDon in the Green Book f

13、aces both discrimination of race and sexual orientation, but Dons homosexual orientation is just an episode. In Tonys words, Ive been working in bars of New York for years, and Ive seen this a lot. People are complicated.Its true that in many ways, rough Tony fits the stereotype of a white racist, but hes not, because hes tolerant.
