5、nal space depends on the sexes involved when communicating and whether they are in public or not. In public places opposite sexes are more aware to keep distances when communicating especially if they are not husband and wife, about a little over an arms length is ok. 6、fend those around you. Those who are religious do not shake hands at all or make eye contact with members of the opposite sex when in public . They maintain distance, especially if they are not related. If they have to greet one another, a slight bow is made and some distance is kept; 3 feet apart o

7、r more. In other situations, a nod of acknowledgment will suffice. Handshakes may be common in certain situations, but it is always best to wait and see what action the person you are greeting takes. Iranians take their dinner very seriously and have many customs to go along with it. They take pride

8、 in their food and usually prepare much more than necessary to help demonstrate their wealth. 3. Dining EtiquetteIf you are an important guest, you are most likely to be situated at the head of the table and served first when the food comes out.When eating, to show respect, make sure you finish your food. It is considered very rude to leave food on your plate. The thumbs up sign is considered a rude gesture.Wearing shorts may get you in trouble so its best to avoid wearing them.4.
