My topic is taken from Section A, Topic1, Unit2 of Book 1, Grade Seven. I will analyze this lesson from the following

2、 six parts.Part My Understanding of the Lesson一Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis topic is mainly about peoples appearances, which is to help Ss how to describe peoples appearances. These conform to the requirement of the English curriculum Standard. From the arrangement of the teaching material,

3、 this section is an important part of this unit giving a good opening for Ss to describe what they look like and what the others look like, and have the chance to learn more about themselves. Its helpful to raise learning interest of Ss and also help Ss communicate with each other.二Teaching Aims Acc

4、ording to the New English Curriculum Criterion, teaching material and my Ss, my teaching aims contain the following.1、Knowledge Aims:To enable the Ss to master the new words:guess, have, has, know, right, small, big, round, long, wide, head, hair, eye, ear, face, nose, mouth and neck.To master the k

5、ey sentences:I/You have a small nose. We/They have long hair.She/He/It has a big head.Do you have big eyes?Yes, I do.2. Ability Aims:.Mainly train the Ss abilities of listening and speaking.To develop the Ss ability of communication by learning the useful structures.3.Emotional Aims:.To stimulate th

6、eir interest in learning English and help them build up self-confidence in English learning.To cultivate the Ss competition consciousness and co-operation spirits.三Key Points and Difficult Points 1. Key Points .New words .The grammar structure: present simple: to have .To help the Ss to communicate

7、with each other and enable them to study in groups and co-operate skillfully. 2. Difficult Points .Help Ss to master the usage of present simple: to have and have to describe peoples appearances correctly. .To develop their communicative ability. Part Analysis of the StudentsAs we all know, we commu

8、nicate with others anywhere and anytime. And we have to describe the others appearances for somebody. Therefore, its very important for us to master how to describe peoples appearances. You know, all of my Ss come from the countryside; they have few words and sentences to describe a person. Whats mo

9、re, they are very shy to speak English in public. So according to my Ss level, Ill try to provide a better English learning surrounding for the Ss and help them as possible as I can. Part Teaching Methods and Aids . Teaching MethodsWe all know that, its very important to cultivate Ss good sense of t

10、he English language. So in this lesson, Ill mainly use these three kinds of teaching methods: Situational Teaching Method, Communicative Teaching Method and Task-based Teaching Method. Be sure to make the Ss as the real masters in class and the teacher myself as the director.Teaching Aids In this cl

11、ass, I will use the pictures, tape recorder and the blackboards. The teaching syllabus says that its necessary for teachers to use the modern teaching facilities. Its of great help to increase the class density and improve our teaching result. It can also make the Ss reach a better understanding of

12、the text by making the classes lively and interesting. At the same time, it arouses the Ss interests in learning English. For there is no multi-media computer in the class, I have to use some simple pictures and blackboards to finish my lesson.Part Learning Strategies 1. Teach Ss how to be successfu

13、l language learners. 2. Let the Ss study language from Observation to Imitation to Practice. 3. Teach Ss how to communicate with others.Part Teaching Procedures:Step1 Warm-up and Revision1. Greeting between T and Ss.2. Review the following functions:Firstly Ill put up my book and ask “Whats this in

14、English?” Then the Ss answer: “Its a book.” Next, Ill pick up some Ss pens and ask: “What are these?” Then the Ss will answer: “They are pens.” And then I will put up some pictures like these and ask: “Whats this in English?”(Pictures with a dog/an elephant) “Are they buses?”(A picture with two cars

15、) Ss answer: “No, they arent. They are cars.” Get the Ss to answer my questions one by one.Finally, Ill point at my nose and ask the Ss “OK. Now, look at me. Whats this?” Some Ss may answer: “it is a nose.” Then Ill say: Excellent, It is a nose. I have a big nose. Do you have a big one?Purpose of my

16、 designing: For me, its important to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss and at the same time, its necessary to provide situations to review learned knowledge.Step2 Presentation1. I will draw a strange person on the blackboard quickly. While I drawing I will ask the Ss “Do you know

17、 whats this in English?” And then write down the words on the side of each part of the body. Then lead to the new lesson.2. Listen to 1a and answer the four questions in 1b. If possible, a competition can be held here.3. Let the Ss listen to 1a again and underline the sentences which contain “have/h

18、as”.4. Ill put up some pictures and get the Ss to say the sentences like these: She has long hair. / They have round face. / It has a long nose and big ears. /He has a big nose.5. Listen to 2a and complete the sentences and ask some Ss to read them aloud.Purpose of my designing: To draw a strange pe

19、rson on the blackboard with words is much easier for the Ss to understand the new words. Proper competition can arouse the Ss interest in learning English.Step 3 Consolidation1. Let the Ss listen 1a again and ask some Ss to act out the dialogue in pairs2. Get the Ss finish 2b and check the answers i

20、n class.3. Lead the Ss to sum up the usage of present simple: to have and ask them to pay more attention to the usage of “has”.Purpose of my designing: I want to know if my Ss understand and master the usage of present simple: to have. Whats more, I want to get them to describe someones appearances.

21、Step 4 Practice In this step, Ill design two tasks: First, ask three Ss to draw monsters on the three blackboards and write down the words we just learnt. Second, get the Ss to work in groups. There are four Ss in each group. A is a teller. B is a writer. C is a supervisor and D is the reporter. The

22、y should describe a teacher they like and report it in class. The teacher myself will walk around and communicate with them. Purpose of my designing: These are interesting tasks that everyone may have a chance to take part in the activities and speak English in class. The Ss have a free platform to communicate with others and show themselves. It can improve the Ss spoken ability and their ability of co-operation will be well trained.Step 5 HomeworkRemember the new words and write them down.Recite the dialogue in 1a.Finish the Ss workbook exercise and preview the next lesson.Purpose of
