4、 mother for the wonderful Thanksgiving feast!USACE Update: The status of the next annual budget is unclear. There may be another continuing resolution, or there may be a new budget. If a continuing resolution is passed, then some additional federal dollars will be forthcoming for this project. If a

5、new budget is approved, continued funding is unlikely, but not impossible. As information becomes available, it will be shared with the Study Management Group. Secondly, Charles Owens, the former Corps Project Manager, has retired. Leroy Crosby and Dean Trawick will be working on this project until

6、further notice. If the project receives additional federal funding, the Corps will work closely with the local sponsors to determine how best to utilize the funds.Data Sharing: A new website is under development for this project. Through this website individuals and groups will be able to comment on

7、 proposals and draft reports, obtain ongoing information and data about this project, and submit in-kind reports from local sponsors. Sometime between now and the end of the year, a day workshop will be held to train a representative from each sponsor group. Susan Raines will contact each sponsor gr

8、oup to ascertain the point person for each representative and to schedule this training. Data Management Update: UGA is working with TetraTech to share data on fish populations for this study. The process of integrating the data into a compatible format for this study is underway. Secondly, Tetra Te

9、ch (Steven Davie)released the information necessary to access the data as it relates to this project. Sometime in the early spring of 2008, Eventually there will be a data viewer system that can handle queries that will combine EDAS and WRDB data, but currently the data are housed separately.Here is

11、 Folder = GISYear 3 Ecological Sites and Study: Ecological sampling for the Year 3 Report will begin in late November, with the goal of completing the sampling by December 9th, 2007. A draft report will be available by May, which will allow data from the Year 3 Ecological sampling to be incorporated

12、 into the watershed assessment report. Watershed Assessment: Tetra Tech is working to integrate the various types of data from this report, and weigh each type of data, in order to give an accurate assessment of the ecological condition of the watershed and sub-watersheds. Chris Millard explained th

13、e methods by which the data will be analyzed during this process. Jerry Jones (MP) noted that this methodology will be shared with EPD in order to seek their approval before the final assessment report is issued. The good news is that this project has generated a greater diversity and quantity of da

14、ta than most other assessment efforts, thereby giving us the opportunity to make the end results more rich and useful. Additionally, Brian McCallum from USGS noted that new stream gages have been added in various locations at the request of UGA, EPD and CMWS. These gages will add additional data to this study. Next Steps: The next quarterly meeting is tentatively set for February 29th, 2008 at 10am-Noon at CCMWA. In the interim, the sponsors will be
