Though Buddhism is the countrys official religion, the footprints of other faiths can be found all over. Statues of the Hindu gods Shiva and Ganesha arent uncommon in the countrys

4、 large number of Buddhist temples, and Muslim places of worship are splendidly equipped in communities in Thailands south.My motorbike allowed me to do more than just see and feel Thailands rich cultural heritage, it also allowed me to taste it. Tourism is a leading industry in Thailand, so in top d

5、estinations like Chiang Mai, Phuket and Bangkok, there are plenty of restaurants that appeal to international visitors with easy and familiar eats, especially around hotels and hostels. Finding something that tastes truly authentic, fresh prawns cooked in yellow curry and served with spicy beans, fo

6、r example, is made much easier with a motorbike.More than anything, my motorbike allowed me to escape the shabby, crowded spaces Thailand is famous for. Deep in the mountains, with the sound of my 125cc engine melting off into the jungle, I found the Thailand I wanted, calm, fascinating and steaming

From the dulcet tones of lead man Rowan Atkinson to the chumsy sidekick Tony Robinson, theres no better show for telling what makes the British British and having a good laugh at it, including an entire season of pointing fun at the French, one of the most British activities.FRIENDSI kn

14、ow what youre thinking-Friends is an American show, about Americans living in America! How can it be distinctly British? But perhaps youre not aware that, apart from Season 1, Friends is written entirely by British writers, and if you watch the first season in comparison to the others, the differenc

18、uncovered in Ross- shire. Archaeologists made the discovery while moving a rock decorated with ancient cup and ring marks to a new location. When they turned the stone over, they found the same marks on the other side of the rock. It is one of only a few decorated stones of its kind. Susan Kruse fir

19、st discovered the stone several years ago when out walking. The second set of cup and right marks were uncovered recently when archaeologists were moving the stone to a new site. Dating from the Neolithic or Bronze Age, the art was created between 4, 000 and 5, 000 years ago. Archaeologists believe

The stone in the new discovery was moved by farmers about 200 years ago when they used it for building something.
