Now I am going to present them one by one.Analysis of Teaching MaterialFirst of all, I will give a brief analysis of teaching materials. The topic of this unit is“Can you come to my party?”, which

3、 is the unit 9 of Grade 8, published by PEP. The main content is about invitation. The topic is closely related to our daily life and it is practical for students to learn it.Teaching ObjectivesGiven the analysis of teaching materials, the teaching objectives are designed as follows:Knowledge aims:

4、1. Ss will be able to master the following words and phrases: available, prepare for an exam, have the flu, another time, hang out. 2. Ss will be able to master the following sentences structures: Can you/she/he come to my party? Sure, I/she/hed love to. Sorry, I/she/he cant. I have to Sorry, Im /sh

5、e/he is not available. I/she/he must I/she/hed love to, but I have/she/he has too much homework Ability aims: 1. Ss can use correct sentences to make, accept and decline invitations and give reasons. 2. Ss can catch the key words while they are listening.3. Ss can develop their abilities of working

6、in pairs and communication by learning useful structures.Emotional aims: Ss will be able to be polite to others when they refuse their invitations.Teaching important points: 1. Ss can master the key words, phrases and sentence structures well. 2. Ss can use proper sentences to make, accept and decli

8、lyze the students. Students in grade 8 are around age of 15. With the increase of their age, students cognitive capacity has been improved significantly and the abstract thinking ability is developing quite obviously. They can control themselves much better and can be more focus on language study. T

9、hey have contained some basic knowledge of this topic. But their ability of communication in English still needs to be improved. Students can learn more words and sentences to improve their language ability through self-study and cooperative study.Teaching MethodAccording to the analysis of teaching

10、 materials and students, I am going to arrange my lesson by mainly adopting the task-based language teaching method, communicative approach, and situational approach. Because modern foreign language teaching emphasizes that students should be encouraged to develop effective learning strategies and a

11、utonomous learning abilities by means of experiential learning, practicing, participating, exploring and cooperating under the teachers guidance.Learning MethodStudents will acquire the English knowledge and to improve their English skills by autonomic learning, cooperating, exploring.Teaching Proce

12、duresAccording to the above analysis, teaching procedure, the most important part are designed as follows:Step 1: Lead inFor this step, first, I will show some conversations and I will show some pictures, and I will say: What happened? Students may give me their answers, Then I ask students to read

13、after me for several times.Step 2:PresentationFirst of all, Look some new words and phrases, they are prepare, exam, flu and go to the doctor. Next, I will ask students to match the words with the things in the picture. After finishing the task in 1a, students should listen to the tape and circle th

14、e words they hear in 1b. Then I will ask students to look at the expressions on the screen:“Sure, Id love to.” “Im sorry,Ihave to”.Read the expressions to the class and the students repeat each one.By reading the same sentences to make students remember these expressions.This step is designed to pre

15、sent todays new knowledge, new words and sentence pattern in a natural way. Students will have their first impression of new phrases and new sentence pattern, which is the necessary input of this lesson.Step 3:PracticeNext, I will ask student topractice conversasions, Can you come to my party? Have

16、theS1give “yes answers” andS2give “no answers”thenplus a reason.Ask students to give their own reasons.If necessary, I can give a reason and have the students repeat it.Make a model to the Ss: e.g. S1: Can you go shopping with me?S2: Sorry, I cant. 17、rs and answer the questions. Now listen to the recording and write the names next to the correct students in the picture.Play the recording for the first time.Students only listen.
