1、 Good afternoon, everyone. Im glad to have an opportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas. My topic is talking about some sports from going for Part I, Unit 4 , Book 15. Ill talk about the following parts.First, Ill talk about my understanding of this teaching material. Ill talk about the fi
2、rst period of Part I, Unit 4. The first period introduces the key vocabulary words and the target language in this unit from the section of warm-up. The topic, Michael Jordan makes the introduction easier.I. Teaching aims of this lesson. 1.Knowledge objects: Students will be able to understand the g
3、rammar of tag questions, some important phrases and sentences. 2.Ability objects: To train students listening and speaking skills. 3.Moral objects Remember its really good for you to do some sports.II. Key points and difficult points 1.Key vocabulary: honey, quite, ought, golf, boring, couple, at th
4、e beginning, pity, refer, elder, electric, factory, labor, full-time, comfortable, court, player, time. 2.Target language: I really need more exercise, dont I? 3.The structure: You are a sports fan, arent you? Yes I am.III. Something about the students 1.Most of them dont often use English to expres
5、s themselves and communicate with others 2.Some of them arent active in class because they are afraid of making mistakes.IV. Now next, Ill talk about my teaching opinions, methods and aids. While dealing with the lesson, Ill do my best to carry out the following teaching opinions: 1.Combine the lang
6、uage structures with the language functions. 2.Let students know how to talk about sports with the tag questions. 3.Ill take the Task-based learning approach. 4.And Ill use some teaching aids, such as a tape recorder, CAI and so on.V. Now let me talk about my teaching procedures. Step 1: Lead-in T:
7、Its a fine day, isnt it? If its fine this Sunday, what will you do? S1: I will go shopping with my friends if it is fine this Sunday. S2: I will go to the park with my cousin. T: Now, lets look at the pictures and say what they are doing. S: They are playing basketball. They are playing table tennis
8、. They are playing football. In this step, I want to revise some names of sports. I think students can understand and grasp it easily . Step 2: Practice T; Michael Jordan is a very famous basketball player in the world . He tries his best to play, doesnt he? Get Ss to think it over and write down th
9、eir answer. Let Ss listen to the tape and tick the best answer to each question. Then check their answers. Next, get Ss to practice the conversation. Ss practice the conversation, they communicate with each other often .Everyone has a chance to speak English. Step3: Listening and practicing Listen t
10、o three dialogues and find out what the students are talking about. Let Ss listen to the tape and fill in the information. Then check their answers. Next, get Ss to practice the conversation by look at the listening materials. Ss practice the conversation, they communicate with each other often. Eve
11、ryone has a chance to speak English. Step 4: work in pairs: Ask and answer. First, give Ss two minutes to read and understand the example. Help them solve the problems if they have. Then ask them to work in pairs by using the pictures below after the example. After this step, Ss can have a good understanding of how to talk about something about sports and develop their listening ab
