We spent 4 periods on this unit; I dont think its enough. In order to supervise the students study, we had a quiz. The highest s
4、core is 69, and the worst even couldnt write any word on his paper. How serious it was! In order to supervise the students study constantly, well have a quiz after we have learned 2 units. 12、 wing flap翼襟 2 Main roles of cabin attendants3 Long Sentences1) Airline Personnel is a generic term for people who work with aircraft in one capacity or another, whether they fly the aircraft, serve passengers or maintain an aircraft. 航空工作人员通常指的是以一种或另一种身份与航空工作有关系的工作人员,无论是飞机驾驶员,空乘服务人员,还是维修人员,都统称为航空工作

18、craft, serve passengers or maintain an aircraft. Categories of Airline Personnel 1 Air Traffic Controllers ( ATCs): They keep air traffic flying safely and efficiently. They help pilots to take off and land safely and make sure that planes are kept a safe distance from each other. air traffic contro
19、llersarea controllers approach controllers airport controllersdirect planes in flight and decide when and where guide it to a safe landing and give the safest route to each plane should land into a parking stand.their destinations and guide them into the most efficient order.2 Flight Crew A typical
20、flight crew on board short haul flights or domestic routes, usually consists of the captain ( or the pilot), who is in command of the aircraft, and a CoPilot (or the 1st Officer). On long haul flights or international flights on larger aircraft, there is a third flight crewmember- the flight enginee
21、r ( or the 2nd Officer) who is mainly responsible for the mechanical and electrical side of flight operations such as fuel transfer and hydraulics. 23、ts (CAs), air stewards, stewardesses, flight attendants or the rather old fashion name, airhostesses. one purserBoeing 737 Passenger Airliner three CAs one flight director, Boeing 757 Passenger Airliner one purser five CAs5 Flight / Cabin Service directors duty: to oversee the smooth running of the
24、cabin and to assign the cabin attendants with specific jobs for every flight during the pre-flight briefing.6 Pursers duty: to manage the cabin attendants and conduct the passenger safety announcements, to handle money taken during the flight and a lot of paperwork.CAs work:1) greet and direct 2) st
25、ow the hand luggage 3) make sure 4) advise 5) check 6) arm and “cross-check” 7) perform and show 8) strap 9) serve the passengers with meals or snacks during the flight.10) handle all emergency situations7 Main roles of Cabin AttendantsCAs are expected to play a variety of roles during flight. The f
26、ist and most important is to ensure the safety of the passengers at all times, including passenger management, fire-fighting, aircraft evacuation, ditching, depressurization; provision of first aid is the second major reason for having CAs on board the aircraft; it is the ability of CAs to adapt to
27、people from different countries and their culture; CAs must be able to accept responsibilities.
