Knowledge goals Learn and master the following words and expressions:cyclist, direction, brake, fortunately, drive off, silence, look onas, rude, etc.B. Ability goals 1. Learn how to express different humor situations. 2. Improve the students speakin
3、g ability by describing, talking and discussing.3. Improve the students' reading ability and writing ability.4. Develop the students abilities of creative thinking and cooperative study.C. Emotion goals 1. Let Ss experience humor, which is an important part and a distinct sign of the culture of
4、English speaking country, in comfortable and amused learning atmosphere;2. Let Ss know the importance of tolerance towards each other in daily life.II. Teaching Important Points According to the national curriculum of English and language learning theory, to make the students master the sentence pat
5、terns and describe the pictures freely. Purpose : Let the students understand the text better.III. Teaching Difficult Points i. Make the Ss know some reading skills; ii.Oral practice by using the given words.IV. The ways of teaching and learning Teaching methods: 1. Fast-reading
6、to train the students' ability to find out the general information.2. Question-and-answer to make students understand the detailed information.3. Pair work or group work to make every student work.V. Teaching Procedure Step. Greetings and lead-inShow a funny movie to lead in the story of the tex

11、ding Brainstorm: using the given words to make up a short funny story.Purpose: This step is designed to practice Ss spoken English , meanwhile feel the humor of class.Step: Writing 1. Let Ss know the writing skills of University Entrance Examination.2. According to some pictures to write a short passage.Purpose: to improve Ss writing skill .Step VI: Homeworki.
