4、ming upI. Show the students the picture on Page 99 of Unit 10, ask them to look at the picture and discuss: 1. What are the people doing? 2. Which festival does the picture show? II. Introduce the key themes to the students.III. Ask the students to listen to the four sentences and match the key word
5、s in the sentences with the pictures in Activity , Warming up. Present the key sentences on the slide and explain their meanings.IV. Ask the students to look at the four pictures in Activity, and then match the words about Chinese and foreign festivals with the pictures.Listening & Speaking prac
6、tice (1)I. Ask the students to try reading aloud the words in the word box on Page 101. Then ask them to read them after the tape. II. Show the students the pictures about two festivals. Tell them that they are going to listen to a short dialogue about Lantern Festival and Halloween. Give them some
7、advice on listening skills.III. Play the tape twice and ask the students to practice it after the tape. IV. Present the basic sentence structures on the blackboard: How do you celebrate the.? We celebrate it with .V. Ask the students to listen to the dialogue again. And then ask them to form into gr
8、oups and make dialogues with the given phrases and pictures in activity on page 101.VI. Ask some students to act out the dialogue in pairs in front of the class. Listening &Speaking practice (2)I. Ask the students to look at the picture on Page 102, and then listen to the dialogue in Activity .
9、Ask them to match the pictures with the sentences in the blue boxes.II. Present the three sentences on the screen and explain their meanings. III. Ask the students to read the sentences individually and then think about what other things they often before Christmas.IV. Ask the students to talk with
