As the significant importance of education, every country in the world focuses much on this affair.Every country in the world has its unique educational system, as a Chinese, Id like to

3、 share some of my thoughts about the current educational system of china. Before I share my opinions about Chinese educational system, Id like to make a brief introduction of what on earth the educational system of china is. In China, the educationis dividedinto three categories: basic education, hi

4、gher education, and adult education. Basic education in China includes pre-school education, primary education and regular secondary education. Preschool, or kindergarten, can last up to three years, with children entering as early as age three, until age six, when they typically enter elementary sc

5、hool. The academic year is divided into two semesters. Secondary education is divided into academic secondary education and technical secondary education. Academic secondary education is divided into middle school and high school Middle school students will study at least eight subjects. After three

6、 or four years ,the graduates wishing to continue their education take a locally administered entrance exam, on the basis of which they will have the option either of continuing in high school or of entering a technical secondary school. After they enter the high school, the students must have a ver

7、y busy study schedule and also face the big pressure of competition because they must take the national college entrance examination so that they could be accepted by the college according to their scores. Higher education includes two-and three-year junior colleges, four-year colleges, and universi

8、ties offering programs in both academic and vocational subjects. Chinese higher education at the undergraduate level is divided into three-year and four-year programs. The adult education category overlaps all three categories: Adult primary education, Adult secondary education, Adult Higher Educati

9、on. Additionally, the nine-year compulsory education law is also a very important part of the education system in china. The Compulsory Education Law of regulates thateach childmust have nine years of formal education. In the nine-year study, the government will pay for the tuition, and the students

10、 only have to afford some fees.Obviously, China has a very strong educational system for the foundational skills. Students must learn a variety of subjects and by the time they graduate they have a good knowledge base in science and the humanities, depending on their chosen track. This is especially

11、 noteworthy given the huge number of people who live in China. Managing such a large system is not easy to do. Most people in the West have no idea how difficult it is to deal with the logistics of such a large number of learners.But the current educational system also exists lots of disadvantages.F

12、irst of all, there is a serious unfairness under the educational system. China has big problem that the huge gap between cities and counties, east and west. This huge gap also reflects in education. The possession of education resources in developed areas and urban areas is far superior to those dev

13、eloping areas and rural areas. According to a survey, Shanghais possession of education resources is 6 times more than Qinghais, which showed the unfairness clearly. And even the College entrance examination, which is called the fairest system in China, is also unfair in some ways. For instance, tso

14、me famous universities would like to enroll the local students. And although the law of compulsory education has been carried out for almost 20 years, there still are a mass of children who cannot afford to go to school, especially in the rural areas in the west of China. Whats more, in order to ent

15、er a good college and to match the aim of education to get higher diploma, students, as well as parents have paid much attention to high school, and ignored the technical schools and Normal schools, thus leading to a large number of high school students, and making the competition of entering colleg

16、e becomes more fierce and the students lead a miserable high school life. And also this has made lots of graduates from many colleges and universities in a dilemma that they find no jobs while a qualified senior technician is hard to find. Third the education in china is just focus on the teaching o

17、f theories instead of practice and pays much attention to the scores. This kind of education pattern make our students lack of innovative ability and hands-on ability. And it also makes our students separated from social lives, because we just need to prepare for the papers and exams by reading more

18、 books or surf on the internet.As we know, china is just a developing country which owns a huge population and is just at preliminary stage of socialism. So its understandable that its policies maybe not as perfect as we expect. Now, our government has awarded of these problems and has decided to make some reforms. I hope they wil
