12、in these aleve n logical cha nn els are mapped on the available physical cha nn els. How they are mapped varies from cell to cell depending on a number of categories. Channel comb in ati on tells about the mapp ing method used in the particular cello Pagi ng groups. Normally in one cell there are mo

To preve nt a mobileto liste ning to all the pagi ng cha nn els for a pagi ng message, the pagi ng cha nn els are divided such that, a group of mobile stations listen to a particular paging channel only.oInformation on surrounding cells. A mobile station has to know

This is n ecessary if, for example, the user in itiates a con versati on in the curre nt cell, and the n decides to move on. The MS has measure the signal strength and quality of the surrounding cells
