1、 教学设计 教材分析 本模块以No Drugs为话题,通过阅读材料使学生对smoking 和 drugs有所了解,并且通过对这两个话题使学生更深刻地认识到 smoking 和 drugs 对人体造成的危害以及对社会造成的危害,以及可能引起的一些社会性问题, 从而鼓励学生远离烟和毒品,养成良好的生活习惯,关爱社会关爱他人,并通过所学知识运用恰当方式规劝他人也远离烟和毒品。本节课的重点是通过写作把吸烟的危害和戒烟方法结合起来,但是如何设计问题由浅入深让学生掌握吸烟的危害和戒烟的方法以及掌握与吸烟有关的习语表达是难点。 课标解读: 高中英语课程目标共有四个级别(六至九级)的目标要求。其中高一年级需要

2、达到六级目标要求;这就要求高一学生在听时能抓住所听语段中的关键词提取信息;说时能够传递听到的信息并就熟悉的话题表达看法;读时能够从阅读材料中查找所需信息;写作技能要求学生能简单地描述事件,并简单地表达自己的意见;能给朋友、笔友写信,交流信息和情感并能对所写内容进行修改。 教材分析: 本模块以No Drugs为话题,通过阅读材料使学生对smoking 和 drugs有所了解,并且通过对这两个话题使学生更深刻地认识到 smoking 和 drugs 对人体造成的危害以及对社会造成的危害,以及可能引起的一些社会性问题, 从而鼓励学生远离烟和毒品,养成良好的生活习惯,关爱社会关爱他人,并通过所学知识运

3、用恰当方式规劝他人也远离烟和毒品。本节课的重点是通过写作把吸烟的危害和戒烟方法结合起来,但是如何设计问题由浅入深让学生掌握吸烟的危害和戒烟的方法以及掌握与吸烟有关的习语表达是难点。 学情分析: 本节课是面对的高一学生,如果给一个话题进行写作,部分优秀学生基本上能够输出一篇比较好的作品,但是大部分学生因为没有大量的词、句的积累,写作时会感到词穷意枯,无从下手,所以在设计本节课时,通过问题的设计由浅入深、循序渐进让学生在练习听说读的同时积累写作素材,然后引导学生连词成 句、连句成篇完成写作任务。 教学目标: 使学生通过了解掌握吸烟的危害和戒烟的方法完成一篇有关吸烟话题的作文。 教学过程: Lead

4、ing-in 由观看视频引出本堂课的话题吸烟 Step one: 由逐层递进的方式设置问题,使得学生了解并掌握吸烟的危害 1.Questions: What's the main idea of the video? Why should people stop smoking? 2.Discussion: What are the bad effects smoking has on us? Cause illnesses cause deaths cause fire accidents killing and injuring people cause pollution cos

5、t money 3.list the facts of smoking. 1)During the 1990s, 21million people died as a result of smoking. 2) A quarter of young people who smoke more than 10 cigarettes a day will die prematurely as a result of smoking. 3)In the United Kingdom, smoking causes 121,000 deaths a year. 4)Thirteen people di

6、e every hour from illnesses related to smoking tobacco, such as cancer, bronchitis and heart disease. 5)Every year, about 200 people are killed and 2000 are seriously injured in fires caused by smoking. 设计意图:本部分的设计是为最后一部分的写作做铺垫,在本节课之前学生阅读过两篇关于吸烟的文章以及通过观看视频学生对吸烟的危害有了许多认识,所以通过设计问题,很容易引导学生参与到话题中来,通过运用I

7、ntroduction的 Facts About Smoking 让学生进一步掌握有关吸烟的习语表达 Step one: If a person around you smokes, we shouldn't think it is none of our business;we should take the responsibility for him and we should try to persuade him to stop smoking. 设计意图: 这个问题的设计主要是针对培养学生的情感态度价值观,让学生对吸烟不在漠视,要学会关爱社会,关爱他人,热情参与社会公益活动

9、 ideas to help people to give up smoking? 设计意图: 利用Cultural corner的文章,让学生进行阅读并获取信息-如何戒烟,这一部分的设计也是为下文的写作做铺垫,丰富写作素材。 Step Three: Writing 1.假设你叫Tom,你的朋友John吸烟,请你给他写一封电子邮件,从吸烟的危害及戒烟的有效方法入手说服他戒烟。 要求:1.至少两条吸烟的危害和两条戒烟方法 2.字数:100字左右 设计意图: 本节课的最重要一个环节,通过写作,让学生把本节课所输入的内容完整结合起来,输出一篇与吸烟有关的话题作文,完成本节课的学习目标。 Step F

According to the investigation, more than two fifth of the students in certain school smoke and some even steal money to buy cigarettes. It is really a seriously pr

13、oblem for so many students to smoke. As we are know, smoking is very harmful to our health. For us teenagers, it does greater harm not only to our health but also to our minds. Middle school students are the future builders of our motherland. We should devote our time to learn things useful and valu

14、able for our country, for our people and for us as well. So those that smoke should get rid of such bad habit and form some good ones. 教学反思: 高一学生的写作能力主要存在的问题是日常学习中语言输入的太少,缺乏大量的词、句的积累,写作时感到词穷意枯,所以针对这种情况,在设计本节课时,课前让学生先阅读了两篇有关吸烟的文章,学生对吸烟的危害有了一定的了解,课堂上有意识的创设语言环境,加强跟学生的语言交流,设计的问题由浅入深,引导学生从了解吸烟的不良影响到戒烟的有效

15、方法一步一步完成知识输入,最终通过一封电子邮件把输入的知识输出来达到了知识的运用,水到渠成的完成本课的学习目标。 在课堂上学生们积极参与,争先恐后回答问题,根据学生的反应能够看出本课所设计的语境非常适合学生进行交流,通过前台两个学生的作品以及课后对学生作品的批改能够看出,本节课的学习目标顺利完成,如果每一节英语课都能创设符合学生身份的语境,给学生构建一个交流平台,相信久而久之,学生的英语写作能力就会有很大提高。 通过反思本节课的每一个环节,感觉这节课在写作环节,找两个学生共同合作(一人一部分)完成的作品,如果各自完成会更好;另外还可以留出时间让学生互相欣赏各自的作品会更好。 导学案: 学习目标

17、he next 40 years if the country had stronger anti-smoking measures. But the study's authors say China has not taken many steps to control the use of tobacco. The study was published in the British Medical Journal. China signed the World Health Organization's international treaty on tobacco c

18、ontrol in 2003, but it has not put in place many of the WHO's ideas to help people stop smoking. Experts say following with ideas could cut smoking by 40 percent before the year 2050. Without stronger anti-smoking measures, they could be 50 million tobacco-related deaths in the country over that

19、 time. The authors of the study used a computer program called SimSmoke to make their predictions. David Levy works at Georgetown University's Lombardi Cancer Center in Washington D.C. He says China has one-third of the world's cigarette smokers. More than half of the men in China smoke. Mr

20、Levy say people often begin smoking without knowing it will harm their health. He says people in some countries smoke, because it makes them feel important. Smoking, you know, once it gets established and in many of the low- and middle income countries, you know there's kind of a prestige initia

21、lly to smoking, Mr Levy said. The WHO plan calls for a ban on smoking in all public places. It also calls for countries to place health warnings on cigarette containers, and offer programs to help people stop smoking. And it says there should be higher taxes on tobacco. Experts say a 75 percent incr

22、ease in cigarette taxes could save about 3.5 million lives, they say an end to cigarette advertising could save 2 million lives. After signing the WHO agreement, China placed a 12 percent tax on cigarettes, but the government did not force Chinese smokers to pay the tax. One of the authors of the ne

23、w study is Teh-we Hu. He is a professor of public policy economics at the University of California Berkeley. Professor Hu says China's cultural and society are changing. He said President Hu Jintao supports an ban on smoking in public. The President also wants people to stop giving cigarettes as

24、 gifts to officials and employers. Mr Hu says the most effective anti-smoking measures in China would be a large increase in the cigarette tax, but he does not expect that to happen soon. Passage Two As globe marks World No Tobacco day, the World Health Organization is trying to highlight the health

25、 risks associated with smoking by advocating policies to curb tobacco consumption. During this year's celebration, many Asian countries are showing off their own campaigns to kick the bad habit. On World No Tobacco day, Asia is saying no to smoking. In the Philippine capital Manila, a smoking ba

26、n is being enforced in public places, where one in three Filipinos consume an average of 10 cigarettes a day. Trained enforcers were deployed to find violators, who will be fined 12 US dollars, or be subjected to eight hours of community service. However, some smokers say the ban limits their freedo

27、ms. Samuel Tan, office worker, said, They should also respect people who smoke. It's like we are being confined in a box. Everything is not allowed. They should also respect us. It's give and take. During this year's celebration, many Asian countries are showing off their own campaigns t

28、o kick the bad habit. In the South Korean Capital Seoul, people are showing more enthusiasm for the event, as activists took to the streets to raise public awareness on the harmful effects of tobacco. South Korea has expanded support for anti-tobacco projects such as putting warning messages on ciga

29、rette boxes, and expanding non-smoking areas. But there are still more than 10 million smokers in the country, about 20 percent of the country's population. And in India, people carried out various activities against tobacco consumption, with school children wearing skull masks warning against t

30、he dangers of smoking. Some even burned large models of cigarettes. The WHO says tobacco use is the second leading cause of death globally, and is responsible for killing one in 10 adults worldwide. The habit is increasingly being taken up by teenagers despite their knowledge of the risks of smoking
