1、 要点梳理与训练（BOOK 6）要点梳理1. decide是动词，意为“决定；作出判断”，常用于decide on/upon sth.，decide to do sth.，decide + that从句等结构中。decision是 decide的名词形式，make a decision 意为“做决定”。如：I have decided to buy a new telephone./ I have decided that I will buy a new telephone. We make a decision to go climbing next week.2. although是连词

2、，意为“虽然；尽管；即使；然而”，用来引导让步状语从句。注意不能与but连用，但可以与still连用。如：Although he is quite old, he still jogs (慢跑) every day.3. advise意为“建议”，常用结构为：advise doing sth.“建议做某事”；advise sb. not to do sth.“建议某人不要做某事”。advise的名词形式是advice，为不可数名词。4. hardly是副词，意为“几乎不；几乎没有”，本身有否定含义，相当于almost not。在反意疑问句中，如果陈述句中含有hardly，则其附加部分用肯定形式

3、。注意hardly不是hard的副词形式。hard可以用作副词，表示“努力地；猛烈地”等含义；hard还可作形容词，而hardly却不能。5. wish和hope都有“希望”的意思，但是用法不同： wish常用于wish to do sth.，wish sb. to do sth.等结构中。另外，wish还可表示“祝愿”。 hope常用于hope to do sth., hope + that从句，多指有可能实现的希望。如：Mike wished his father to buy him a computer as a birthday present. I hope that youll

I wish that I were ten years younger.6. 动词不定式可与疑问代词who /what /which及疑问副词how /when /where等连用，构成不定式的疑问式短语，在句中作宾语、主语、表语等。如：The Smiths are thinking about where to go for their vacation.7. a set number of 意为“一定数量的；固定数量的”，后面接可数名词的复数形式；a number of意为“许多；大量”，后面接可数名词复数，在句中作主语时谓语动词用复数形式；the num

5、ber of 意为“的数量”，后面接可数名词复数，在句中作主语时谓语动词用单数形式。8. both and 意为“和都”，连接两个并列成分。当在句中连接主语时，谓语动词用复数形式。它的否定形式为neither nor ，意为“既不也不”，连接主语时，谓语动词须与nor后面的名词或代词在人称和数上保持一致。如：Both Liu Mei and Chen Qiang are my best friends. Neither I nor my deskmate knows the answer to the question. 9. agree with sb.意为“同意某人或某人的观点”；agre

6、e on/about sth.意为“就某事取得一致意见”。如： He agreed with them about the need for change.10. worth意为“值得；有价值的”，在句中常作表语。常用句型有“主语+be+worth+V-ing形式”，意为“值得做某事”，此时，句子的主语通常是V-ing形式的逻辑宾语；还可以用于“It(形式主语)+be+worth+V-ing形式+其他”。一般来说，worth前可用well, really等词修饰。11. receive是指“收到；接到”，不包含接收人是否愿意接受的意思，强调客观事实，如：receive a letter。而ac

7、cept则表示接受人主观上主动地、情愿地接受, 意为“接受”，强调主观态度。如：I received his e-mail the day before yesterday.Sorry, I cant accept your present because its too expensive.12. except for意为“除了之外；只是”，用于表示对主要部分的肯定和对局部的否定，常用于不同类事物的比较；except意为“除之外”，着重强调在同类人或物中除去的一个或几个，表示减除的概念；besides意为“除了以外，还有”。13. What if .?意为“如果将会怎么样?”，相当于“Wha

8、t would happen if .?”。What if引导的条件状语从句要用一般现在时表示将来。14. unless是连词，意为“除非；如果不”，引导条件状语从句, 含有否定的意思，相当于if not 。在unless引导的从句中，如果主句是一般将来时，unless引导的条件从句常用一般现在时表示将来。如：Ill see you tomorrow unless something unexpected happens.15. belong to意为“属于”，其主语常是物，to是介词，后接指人的名词或代词作宾语。belong to一般不用于进行时态和被动语态。16. 如果没有听清楚对方的话，
