2、terialthe title of this unit is this is my sister. in this unit, the ss will learn to introduce people. this is a topic that is related to their daily life. so it can raise their learning interests and improve their spoken english.二、teaching aims 1, to enable the ss to learn the new words about fami
3、ly, and can introduce people 2, to develop the ss abilities of listening and reading 3, to foster ss consciousness of good cooperation and proper competition. to develop the students consciousness of thanksgiving.三、teaching key points and teaching difficultiestalking about family members fluently an
4、d can introduce people 四、teaching methodsin this lesson, ill mainly use the task-based teaching method and it will be used in the whole lesson. i think it is helpful in developing the ss abilities. i ll also use the audio-visual teaching method and classified teaching method. i ll provide enough lis
5、tening and speaking situations for ss. i think good teaching methods are the keys to success.五、teaching procedure1, warm-up a good beginning is a half of success. in order to form a better english surrounding for students, and to attract the ss attention, i ll begin my lesson with some pictures of x
6、ia yu s family in a family with children.2, presentation. after looking these pictures taken from a teleplay which is very well known, i ll lead the ss to describe the pictures. then i will show a picture of xia yu and ask the ss who he is. after the ss answering the question, i will show a picture
7、of xia yus father and learn the word “father ” .then learn the words “mother”, “parent ”, “brother ”, “sister”, “grandparent ”, “grandfather ”, “grandmother”by the same way. at last, i ll show a picture of the whole family, and teach the ss the word “family ”. after the ss have learned these new wor
8、ds, i ll ask the ss to think about the meaning of every letter in the word family. let the ss know family means father and mother i love you to develop their heart of thanksgiving.3. practice ask the ss to do the matching on page 7. when the ss finished the exercise, three students will be asked to
9、show their answers. by this way, the teacher will know whether the ss have acquired the words.4. presentation lead the ss to think about how to introduce people to their friends to lead to the sentences of “who s she”, “who s he”, “this is my sister.” and “these are my brothers.”i ll ask the student
10、s to read these sentences after me for several times. it can help the ss to review the new words and can let them to be familiar with these sentences.5. listening practiceask the ss to finish 1b. in order to improve the ssreading ability, i ll ask the students to read the dialogue after the tape.4. pair wok in this part, i ll divide the ss into small groups, and discuss the pairwork in 1c and then, i ll ask every group to show their dialogues. ill point out their mi
