8、rs directly subordinated to the ministry:with the arrangement made according to appendix 21 to document of state planning commission jizhong (1986) no. 450 and document of the ministry of chemical industry (88) huajishi no. 469, the preparation and review of the profession standard of the peoples re

9、public of china “construction and acceptance code for anticorrosion works for industrial equipment and pipelines”, which was prepared mainly by no. 2 construction company of china chemical engineering corporation with the participation by no. 4 construction company of china petrochemical corporation

10、, have been completed, and the standard is hereby approved and published, with the number hgj229-91 and will be implemented as of july 1, 1992. since the date of its implementation, the former standard of ministry of chemical industry hgj229-83 shall become invalid.this standard shall be governed an

11、d interpreted by the ministry of chemical industry, and be published and issued by the engineering construction standard editing center of the ministry of chemical industry.ministry of chemical industrydecember 31, 1991notes of preparationwith the arrangement made according to the document of state

12、planning commission jizhong (1986) no. 450, the profession standard of the peoples republic of china “construction and acceptance code for anticorrosion works for industrial equipment and pipelines” was jointly prepared with the ministry of chemical industry as the chief preparing ministry, no. 2 co

13、nstruction company of china chemical engineering corporation as the chief preparing unit, and no. 4 construction company of china petrochemical corporation as the participating unit from october,1988. after finalization of this code, the overall management department of engineering construction stan

14、dards classified this code as a professional standard of the peoples republic of china according to “standardization method of peoples republic of china”.this code is a comprehensive professional code, applicable to the construction and acceptance of anticorrosion liners and coatings on iron and ste

15、el based industrial equipment and pipes in newly built, expanded and transformed projects in chemical engineering, petrochemical, metallurgical and textile fields.in this code, the construction experience of the industrial fields of metallurgy, petrochemical engineering and aviation and aerospace ha

16、s been conscientiously summed up on the basis of the standards of the ministry of chemical industry, coordination has been made with relevant standards both at home and abroad, contents and provisions in advanced standards in foreign countries that applicable to the conditions of china have been inc

17、luded promptly, and provisions on use of new materials, new equipment and new techniques in recent years on base surface treatment, rubber liner, metal spray coating and inspection instruments have been supplemented.during the preparation of this code, extensive investigation and studies were made,

18、various symposiums and comments requisition meetings were held, and the draft was finalized with review meetings and finalization meeting.this code consists of 44 sections in 12 chapters and 10 appendices and explanatory notes, which are printed and published together with the code text. it is indic

19、ated for internal issuance, so it is hoped that comments on its application be fed back in an active manner during the implementation of this code, to facilitate future supplement and improvement.this code shall be governed and interpreted by the capital construction department of the ministry of ch

20、emical industry, and any letter on matters of inquiry please be addressed to the construction standardization management center station of the ministry of chemical industry at central huaizhong road, shijiazhuang, hebei province (zip: 050021).capital construction department of the ministry of chemic

21、al industrydecember 31, 19911. general1.0.1 this code is applicable to newly built, expanded and transformed projects in chemical engineering, petrochemical, metallurgical and textile fields, and is not applicable to production maintenance projects or engineering construction projects with special r

22、equirements.1.0.2 this code is applicable to the construction and acceptance of anticorrosion liners and coatings on industrial equipment and pipes and fittings made of steel and cast iron, and is not applicable to foodstuff and nuclear power industries.1.0.3 the application of anticorrosion liners

23、and anticorrosion coatings must be proceeded according to design documents. the consent by the design institute must be obtained when it is necessary to change the design, substitute a material or use a new material.1.0.4 the raw materials used for anticorrosion works must conform to the provisions

24、in state professional standards or in this code, and have ex-works certificates and inspection data. when necessary, raw materials shall be re-inspected on a sampled basis.1.0.5 the construction formulation for various anticorrosion works can be used only after test qualification certificate has bee

25、n issued by a testing institute with grade ii certificate qualification. the determined construction formulation must not be changed without authorization.1.0.6 the construction safety technology and labor protection for anticorrosion works shall also conform to the provisions in relevant current st

26、andards and codes of the state, in addition to the provisions herein.2. basic provisions2.1 general provisions2.1.1 the application of anticorrosion works can be started only with the following conditions have been satisfied:2.1.1.1 design and other technical documents are complete, and construction

27、 drawings have been jointly reviewed;2.1.1.2 construction scheme and technical instructions have been completed, and safety technical education and necessary technical training have been performed;2.1.1.3 equipment, pipes and fittings have the ex-works certificates or process handover certificates;2

28、.1.1.4 materials, machinery and equipment, testing instruments and construction facilities and ground are ready;2.1.1.5 protection facilities are safe and reliable, and the water, power, gas and steam supplies can meet the needs of continuous works.2.1.2 the fabrication of equipment, pipes and fitti

29、ngs must meet the requirements on construction drawings and design documents. an overall inspection and acceptance must be performed before starting the anticorrosion works.2.1.3 during the application of anticorrosion works, intermediate inspections must be performed. acceptance shall be performed

30、immediately after completion of anticorrosion works.2.1.4 the welding of equipment, pipes and fitting external wall accessories must be completed before the anticorrosion works, and be verified to be correct; during the proceeding of anticorrosion works, operations such as welding, gas cutting and d

31、irect knocking shall be strictly forbidden.2.1.5 before implementing anticorrosion works on rotary equipment, test reports on static balance or dynamic balance shall be provided. after completion of anticorrosion works, verification inspection on static balance or dynamic balance shall be performed.

32、2.1.6 before implementing anticorrosion works on pressurized equipment, pipes and fittings, strength or air tightness tests must be performed according to relevant provisions, and the anticorrosion works can be started only when the tests are qualified.2.1.7 to ensure safety or convenience in the ap

33、plication of anticorrosion works, manholes must be provided for enclosing equipment that cannot be dismantled. the sizes and quantities of manholes shall be determined according to the equipment volume and diameter. there shall be at least 2 manholes.2.1.8 upon completion of anticorrosion works, the

34、 equipment, pipes and fittings must not be hit or damaged during lifting and handling, and they shall be properly cared for before use.2.2 requirements on base2.2.1 there must be no trace of damage, blowhole, inclusive slag, overlapping skin or serious corrosion spot on the steel surface of steel eq

35、uipment, pipes and fittings; the machined surface must be flat, with local concave and convex points on the surface not exceeding 2mm.2.2.2 equipment, pipes and fittings made of cast iron or cast steel shall have no void or porous base.2.2.3 any sharp angle or edge, rough edge or casting residual on

36、 the surface of equipment, pipes and fittings must be thoroughly ground and cleaned, and the surface shall be flat and smooth, with curved transitions.2.2.4 equipment nozzles must not go beyond the internal surface, and covers, column sections and insertion pipes for equipment shall be connected wit

37、h flanges.2.2.5 riveting seams in equipment with riveting connection shall be flat, and blind rivets shall be used, so that there is no protruding rivet head inside the equipment.2.2.6 leakage testing holes shall be provided when necessary for equipment, pipes and fittings with anticorrosion liners,

38、 and vent holes shall be provided at proper locations.2.2.7 after surface pre-treatment, the base shall be completely inspected, and process takeover formalities shall be handled. the anticorrosion works can be started only after signatures have been made.2.3 requirements on welding2.3.1 for equipme

39、nt housing, double-side butt welding should be used. the welding seams shall be flat and free of blowhole, overlapping or inclusive slag. the weld seam height must not be greater than 2mm. welding spillages shall be thoroughly removed. weld seams should be ground level or to a curved transition fig.

40、 2.3.4 (1).2.3.2 continuous welding must be adopted for weld seams on equipment housing, and there must be no crack or continuous undercut in the weld seam, and the nipping depth shall not exceed 0.5mm.2.3.3 the welding requirements shall be ensured for the equipment corners and nozzles, and the sea

41、ms shall be saturated, and be ground to an obtuse angle, to form a curved transition. there must be no burr or sharp angle.2.3.4 for the round corner of fillet weld seams, the welding height shall be h5mm, for ordinary outer corners, r3mm, and for internal corners, r10mm fig. 2.3.4 (2), (3) and (4).

42、2.3.5 in cleaning pairing clamps, it is strictly forbidden to damage the base metal. it is strictly forbidden to initialize the arc on the base metal during welding.(1) butt weld seam(2) fillet welding(3) outer corner weld seam(4) internal corner weld seamfig. 2.3.4 requirements for weld seams3. met

43、al surface pre-treatment3.1 general provisions3.1.1 the quality grade for metal surface pre-treatment shall conform with the following provisions:3.1.1.1 for rust removal by manual means or powered tools, the metal surface pre-treatment quality will be in two grades: st2 and st3;3.1.1.2 for rust rem

44、oval by jetting or sand blasting, the metal surface pre-treatment quality will be in four grades: sa1, sa2, sa2 and sa3;3.1.1.3 for flame rust removal, the metal surface pre-treatment quality grade shall be f1;3.1.1.4 for chemical rust removal, the metal surface pre-treatment quality grade shall be

45、pi.3.1.2 for the metal surface pre-treatment quality grades in rust removal by manual means or powered tools, jetting or sand blasting and flame, provisions in “rust grades and preparation grades of steel surfaces before application of paints and related products” (gb8923-88) shall be implemented.3.

46、1.3 standard for chemical rust removal quality grade pi:the metal surface after pickling, neutralization, passivation and drying shall be completely free of grease, oxidant scale, rust or other foreign matter. electrolyte on the metal surface shall be cleaned with water, so that the metal surface sh

47、ows a homogeneous color, without yellow rust stain.3.1.4 the metal surface after sand blasting treatment shall be in an even rough surface, and there shall be no obviously visible pit or burr except pits caused by original rusting on the steel plate or mechanical damage.3.1.5 when there is no qualit

48、y requirement on the surface pre-treatment for metal with anticorrosion liner or coating, the quality of metal surface pre-treatment shall meet the provisions in table 3.1.5.table 3.1.5 quality requirements of anticorrosion liner or coating on metal surface pre-treatmentno.category of anticorrosion

51、plate liner or cases for which spraying and jetting cannot be proceeded.3.1.6 before pre-treatment of metal surface, surface cleaning shall be done with one or several of the following methods according to the type of contaminants, severity of contamination and shape and size of equipment.3.1.6.1 me

52、tal surfaces contaminated by grease can be cleaned with organic solvent, hot alkali or emulsifying agent, and their formulation and process conditions can be in accordance with the provisions in tables b.1b.2 in appendix b hereto.3.1.6.2 metal surfaces contaminated by organic materials or oxidants o

53、r attached with old liner or coating can be cleaned by steaming, cooking, baking, burning, knocking or shoveling.in treating thin walls, care must be taken to avoid deformation of housing. baking or burning method must not be used to clean surfaces of annealed steel or quenchable hard steel.3.2 trea

54、tment with manual means or powered tools3.2.1 as powered tools, pneumatic (motor-driven) brushes and grinding wheels or various dust removing machines can be used.for manual treatment, hand hammer, scraper, shovel, wire brush and abrasive cloth (paper), etc. can be used.in treatment with manual mean

55、s or powered tools, means or tools that may damage or deform the metal surface must not be used.3.3 dry blasting treatment3.3.1 when dry blasting treatment is adopted, proper provisions shall be made to prevent dust from spreading.3.3.2 the compressed air shall be dry and clean, containing no water

56、or oily dirt, and can be used only after qualification with the following inspection method: placing a target plate with white cloth or paint in the compressed air flow for 1 min., and there shall be no oil or water stain on it when checked visually.the packing in the air filter shall be replaced pe

57、riodically, and blocked liquid in air buffer tank shall be drained in time.3.3.3 the abrasives shall have a fair hardness and impact toughness, must be clean, and shall be sieved before use to ensure that there is no oily dirt in it. natural sand shall be hard and edged diamond sand, quartz sand, si
