To be honest, I listened to a few of them when I was young, such as “SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST”, “BECAUSE I LO

2、VE YOU”, “I JUST CALLED TO SAY I LOVE YOU”, just to name a list. Some of them make you feel comfortable, while others can bring your mind far away. Various meanings will be presented in my brain at different times when I come into contact to the rhythms. To be honest, I dont know which my best-loved

3、 one is. However, I still want to share some of my feelings as follows.“HOTEL CALIFORNIA”: I first knew the song in 2000 and it was not easy for me to get the point through the lyrics. The version that Hugh gave us is a live in 1994 concert, it is much better than the original for the two-minute sol

4、o with fantastic instruments in my opinion. In the beginning, I was so calm and kind of indulged in the gentle tunes. Gradually, a sense of uncertainty occupied my head. In the end, a shower of applause broke out. I saw my dad was so satisfied. Actually the song is describing us a story like his exp

5、erience in a hotel, but it was amazing but also strange. Nevertheless, it is converted the sinking and depressed atmosphere in the 1970s. Sorrow and disorientation of the society, drugs and wine full of the body, Eagles explains this feeling thoroughly. As a band that enjoys a high reputation around

6、 the world, it was formed in the 1970s, Los Angeles. They play rock music and reached their peak when the song released. Most of their albums and singles are in a style mixed country, pop and rock music which caters for every level of music lovers.“Welcome to the Hotel California,Such a lovely Place

7、，Such a lovely Face”，this is the lyrics I appreciate. Maybe the lovely place just appears in our dreams. After having come back to reality, we still need to go ahead and continue our life though depression would accompany us at times.“ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE”: Also want to talk about my first feelin

8、gs on it. At my age of 14, I listened to this song by my CD player. Attracted by the unique opening, I played it for several times. I couldnt understand the real meaning because I just enjoyed his voice and classical tunes. Phil Collins is an emotional singer; he has created so many songs that can h

9、elp us relieve ourselves, at the same time lead us to pay more attention to some problems. He is one of the most famous singers in the 1980s（he and Madonna had the most of their songs on Billboard list in 1985）. This song was written in 1990 and also helped to establish his status in song lyrics. An

10、other Day in Paradise was written to bring attention to the problem of homeless. The song was a number-one hit worldwide, and the most successful song of his solo career. But when Hugh asked us about the deep meaning of it, I still couldnt tell a word. I feel like appreciating songs without research

11、ing the lyrics. However, this was an exception; the song told us a story, a sad story, a realistic one. “Oh, think twice, Its just another day for you, You and me in paradise”the song was ended with the repeating lyrics, just as a slogan of Maxwell House: Good to the Last Drop(意犹未尽).“TAKE MY BREATH

12、AWAY”: When Hugh played this song in our class, I thought it would be much better to appreciate late in the night. It is the theme song of a movie named “TOP GUN”, which was one of Tom Cruises famous works in 1986. Once Tom wore his sun glasses on his motorbike, galloping on his way to an appointmen

13、t or sailing the sky with a warplane, the song played with bass would also accompany these scenes. Hence, it can easily move us and play an important role in enhancing the leading roles emotions. Terri Nunn is the leader of Band Berlin, her neutral voice and wild performance make the song be more th

14、an success. Berlin was founded in 1978 in L.A., California. And they focus on new wave, pop rock and industrial rock. I listened to it at home; I sat on the ground to enjoy the song. My dad told me it was the song that could get the touch of his heart. It makes you feel your heart is speeding up and

15、 beating faster and faster. Yes, I admitted. And it does bring me a sense of thrilling. “Watching every motion in my foolish lovers game. On this endless ocean finally lovers know no shame”. And this is the essence of love, no matter what he or she did; you still love him or her without hesitation. Honestly speaking, I do like leaning English through this way.
