Only men and boys could compete in the ancient Olympic Games. Married women were not even allowed to watch the Games;
6、 only young girls, boys and men could watch.However, in modern times, there are two main sets of Gamesthe Summer and Winter Olympics, and both are held every four years. Athletes from any country who have reached the agreed standard for their event will be admitted as competitors. Therefore, there a
7、re many significant differences between the modern and ancient Olympics, although certain similarities exist.In this text, Pausanias, an ancient Greek writer, has come on a magical journey to find out more about the ancient and modern Olympics.
