In this unit, students will learn how to talk about problems and give advice. Whats more, teacher should teach students to care for others and help them out, when he himself gets into trouble, he should face it bravely instead of running away. Teaching Aims:Knowledge and skills:1. Master the words and target languages:1) words: allow, wrong, midnight2) target languages: -Whats wrong ( with you) ? -I. Why not + 不带to的 动词不定式. - You should /could+ 动词原形.2. Learn how to care about our friends and how to give advice.3. Develop students listening and speaking skills.Process and approaches:1. Through communicative and interactive approaches, lead students to learn how give advice.2. Methods: pair work, work alone, play games; task-based teaching method.Moral , attitude and value:1. Care about friends and give advice to help them out.2. Face trouble actively and bravely.Teaching aids: a recorder, the multi-media computerTeaching produces:Step I Greeting and lead-in1. Greeting: greet all the guests today.2. Lead-in: First, revise “Could we?” by using “ Could we have a party?” lead the new word “allow” and teach it.Then, lead to the topic trouble.Step 2 Presentation1. Present target language “Whats wrong?” and the new words “ wrong, midnight”. Teach them.2. Show my friends advice, teach the other target language “ Why not?”3. Show a set of pictures, present the main topicteenagers trouble.Step 3 PracticeActivity 1a: Work aloneFirst, read together and have them pay attention to the underlined phrases.Then, finish the task in 1a.Step 4 Listening PracticeActivity 1b: Work alone:First, listen and finish the listening exercise in 1b.Then, check the answer.Finally, listen again, imitate it at the same time.Step 5 Oral Practice1. Work together: Read the conversation on the screen.2. Pair work : Make a new one according to the pictures on the screen.3. Play a guessing game: “Whats wrong with Peter?” and give him advice.4. Ask them to write down their trouble, and share it with their deskmates.Step 6 Game Rush to answerFind an angel for our class.: Who solves more problems, who is the angel.(First, choose 4 students. They must meet requirements and are better in giving advice. Then, there will be a PK among themrush to solve other students problems. Who solves more problems, who is the angel.)Step 7 Summary1.
